It will use the same IO chiplet so 6000Mhz kit and you'll be good to go. Zen 2 and 3 used the same IO chiplet hence 3600MHz been the sweet spot on Ryzen 3000/5000.Will the X3D chip negate the need for high frequency DDR5 memory?
Edit: looking at it purely from an fps gaming pov and not anything productivity wise that is.

AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs get official 'New Low Prices' on AMD webstore - VideoCardz.com
AMD Ryzen 7000 get significant price cuts on official webstore AMD has now implemented the same prices for its Zen4 desktop CPUs as Newegg and Amazon on their own official US webstore. The company has now followed other big retailers who were the first to offer desktop Ryzen 7000 series at...videocardz.com
Seems like an official price cut to the 7000 series cpus and not just a so called black Friday deals.
Are you seeing much improvement over your previous build? Read back a few pages and saw you picked up the 7950x! I'm waiting for my OC order update to send my case and RAM to build mine. So much for 24 hr delivery...System is all up and running, even managed to get a game of MW2 and seems pretty stable. I love new stuff, hahaha. Just need the new AMD GPU to come out now or if nvidia will be so kind and lower the prices of the 4080.
I'm surprised Coreteks has any followers left to peddle this insane twaddle to, given how far he fell from grace with a lot of his random Ampere and RDNA 2 speculation (e.g. Ampere was getting some kind of dedicated RT co-processor purely based on some weird numbers he'd been "leaked" and a chunk of the die shot he didn't recognise).
Give it time, you only have to look at X470 with the USB issues when using PCIe Gen 4 bandwidth for both GPU and Storage. Took a long while for them to listen, track down the problem and fix it with a bios update.if that was really a problem we would be hearing much more about it
rices are coming down.

These are typical of the sort of faults i expect to see when people use too aggressive BCLK overclocking, i expect to see this with people who know enough to get themselves in to trouble but not enough and too arrogant to realise they are at fault.I'm surprised Coreteks has any followers left to peddle this insane twaddle to, given how far he fell from grace with a lot of his random Ampere and RDNA 2 speculation (e.g. Ampere was getting some kind of dedicated RT co-processor purely based on some weird numbers he'd been "leaked" and a chunk of the die shot he didn't recognise).
Personally, I'd be more worried about the 5 times an Alder Lake board warped because of the socket mount, rather than the 5 times a Zen 4 board had a glitchy BIOS.
The spare is ok but dont know if the 360mm rad will fit, its a NZXT S340, main case is a Phantek Enthoo Evolv. I would still need to switch PSUs over.Or just buy a new case?
