As above. It was always going to be temporary as I built my pc in Nov as I had no pc at all but wanted the 3D CPU ultimately. I figured the 7700 may be easier to sell second hand than the 7600 but that's just me speculating.

That's why I bought the 7600X not the more expensive one as I knew new chips were on the way, it was just to complete a build

ordered my RAM
took me ages trawling through lots of websites etc

I've ordered

Hynix Chipset

5600 though, but that one is on the compatibility list

the other one i looked at was "pre Order"

i couldn't wait and saved £150

update

installed the new Kingston Fury Beast memory which is the Hynix chipset

default = again no problems

EXPO Enabled = So far its a lot more stable (running at 5600)

the other ram i had (Corsair 6000 and Team Group 5600) would not run stable at anything other than default

I'm going to re install windows again tomorrow and start fresh and with any luck its fixed

Oh that's not what I want to hear. I took Kingston ram out of my basket and replaced it with Team Group 5600...

So these chips have on board graphics, do we or should we be installing the drivers? Even though we've got a 5700xt or 6000 or 7000 series card installed?
The driver will install automatically. I used it at first before putting the new bits in a case, then found an option to disable it in the BIOS, so disabled it. Now, an unknown PCI device is in the device manager, might leave it on after next BIOS update.

I'm still wondering if I have a faulty cpu or motherboard..

I'm downloading at the moment, and noticed one of my Q leds has come on saying "faulty VGA"
Check the event viewer for errors. The Q-Code on my board sometimes changes after boot, it’s on 40 now, have LED’s as well but the 360 rad covers them so hard to see them but if it boots I ignore them until something stops working. If the event viewer has lots of errors, its time to panic:-)
