*** AMD "Zen 4" thread (inc AM5/APU discussion) ***

I see. Could be worth a try, but the specs do say that the 'ASUS X670 Wifi' supports Windows 10 and Windows 11.

I assume you aren't using an AGESA 1.0.0.4 BIOS? As there are issues with the Ryzen 7600X and that version.

Does the board have a revision number/version stated on the box?

If you haven't already tried this - I would disable turbo boost on the CPU and run the DDR5 at the JEDEC / non OC profile - if this works try to narrow down where the issue is.

Have you checked the S.M.A.R.T. stats for your SSD drives /drive? I had a Crucial QLC based SSD once that was causing weird glitching in games (game engine freezing for ~30 seconds, then gameplay resuming). It wasn't used as my OS drive, but there were millions of read errors being generated each day. You can check the S.M.A.R.T. stats using programs like Speccy or CrystalDiskInfo.

I'm sure I read on here that , because of all these crashes my ssd could be corrupting?

Well q game I've got installed right now, when I verify files, it says failed, so re downloads, but I check again and still failed

I'm wondering if it's nackering my ssd

Depends on the game, some always fail and require at least one or two files. It's just a steam thing.

I have used steam verify lots of times and never seen it say failed, maybe its been the ssd all along?
Use CrystalDiskInfo to check the error count.

windows 11 = fails all the time

windows 10 = after a game crashes

well i just don't know anymore

im not going to risk putting in a new SSD if its something else and its causes damage to it
It could just be a bad drive or maybe a bad slot, Use CrystalDiskInfo to check the error count, think it can also check smart but never used that. If you have a spare drive, you could do a quick Win install without activating it, ideally using a different slot/port. Then install one game that was crashing and test it. A pain to do but could save a total re-build if it is the drive.

@ShiWarrior have you tried a new drive before going all out on new parts?

no

but my AM4 system was rock solid
soon as i went AM5 , crash not stop in games
so I'm thinking if it is the SSD, something is causing it to corrupt

EDIT//

Tried 2 motherboards (exact same ones) so if its a bad slot, its on both

3613 errors does not seem that high, my Force mp510 has way more (6129) and it has way less writes.
