Substantiating Enthusiast Citizen’s report, Wccftech mentions hearing from one of their sources that the heat output of the AMD Ryzen 9 7000 series CPUs stands between 92-94 C even with a “high-end 360 mm AIO liquid cooler” in AIDA64.

Lets hope this rumour is fake.

This article is biased rubbish. The TDP of the 7600X is only 105w (@4.7ghz).

Don't see this being a success. Too expensive for a whole platform in current environment. People have other things to spend money on and Intel platform will be cheaper with good basic cpus if someone needs a pc.

Normies will not run to shops, ocuk discounts after a month, AMD discounts in January for release 3D :p

but that would be great wont it ? so will have to lower prices thats what competition brings ;)

Of course :) that's why I'd rather wait for 3D if rumors are true for jan/Feb. Some issues with bios ironed out, prices adjusted etc

And just to add dollar is still going crazy high, which means basic new amd cpu might be closer to £350 rather than £300

You do know for that to happen the exchange rate for the $:£ would need to be almost exactly 1:1, that is still some way off yet. This is inc VAT as well.
For what I said price would need to be > £325, so no it doesn't need to be almost exactly 1:1. From market expectations other than some local corrections $ is expected to go higher, so any evaluations to other currencies might be priced to include that as well.

Oh so you are saying £326+ then, fair enough but it still won't be that either. :)

There also seem to be a lot of people who forget it is much easier to lower a product price (especially tech) than increase it after it launches, there is a market at $299 as they showed with the 5600X, but there will be a smaller market with the 7600X due to the ~£300 12600K, but it is still there. Pretty easy to knock off $50 either officially or via channel rebates to get it down to $249 if not selling, but if they started at $249, good luck putting it up to $299+ you already seen the backlash from people basing pricing on new generation from the last one, they totally lose it if AMD put their price up after release, regardless of rampant inflation in almost every sector.

Had a couple of people deciding not to go 12th Gen Intel, due to the CPU prices rising significantly ~£410+ for a 12700K, when only 6 months ago you could pick them up for ~£320. In fact I am now lumbered with a rather nice Asus ROG STRIX B660-A GAMING WIFI D4 motherboard, no idea what to do with it, might plonk a 12400 in it but it's white so that means the whole build would end up needing to be white. Should probably just whack it on the MM tbh.

It will be interesting this week what GBP prices apple gives for new iPhones as they are usually the most aggressive. This might give some more indication. If they price 1099$>1099£, then yeah my guess would be far off.

105w doesn't sound like a lot but remember many people had issues with cooling on the 5800X due to the heat concentrated into a small die yet we now have Zen 4 using even smaller dies.

Got me 5950X here, ran r23 and temp never went over 65 degree. Plenty people seem to think 5750 runs hot but i dont get the same results

The 5950X has 160mm2 to distribute that 105w tdp power budget over but the 7600X has just 71mm2 so it's a similar amount of power packed into less than half the surface area.

Thats not the point. The point is people out there report that the 5750X runs at 90 degrees on AIO mine does not. Soooo i would not believe to much that you see getting leaked about temperatures right now. That was the point

@VortexA1 Thank you sir, i likes it :)

An AIO is not the same as a full custom water cooling though.

I doubt many will build custom water loops for a 7600X or even use a 360 AIO, most people tend to go with a £30 air cooler for the more budget orientated CPUs.

Ok, lets discuss again once teh real reviews are out or even better ioonce end users have them with final bios's
