*** AMD "Zen" thread (inc AM4/APU discussion) ***

It'll be out of stock as soon as they get in stock :p:p:p:p

This it shall be first come first served basis, hence pre-order to get your position in the queue, we are the only AMD super alpha partner in the UK which puts us at top of queue for stock and we shall be working closely with AMD to ensure orders are fulfilled as quickly as possible.

We have a lot of stock incoming this week, so fingers crossed March the 2nd next week we shall have no issue shipping several hundred or even 1k+ Ryzen orders. :)

8 gig ram for £70 sheesh prices have gone up.
No way? lol see below ;) :P

What about the motherboards? I understand they will be available earlier or won't match the Ryzen stock.

Found interesting important information from other forum warned about Ryzen very poor OC on both air and water coolers.

Also found this pic of Ryzen 1800X with all 8 cores on LN2 reached 5.1GHz at 1.853V from Austin Evans on youtube but it was removed so I found a mirror. http://mirror.ninja/5vixv8

Well 5.1GHz on LN2 at very high voltage is not very impressed, I would suggest you to put off or cancel pre-order until official reviews or you would regret sold off your good CPUs like 6700K, 7700K etc after bought a Ryzen CPU and found it cant OC at very low voltage on both air and water coolers!

The thread is in german, and even with google translate cannot find what are you talking about.

As for the speed, tbh 4.5-4.6 is the maximum the 68xx/69xx can do, the good ones also, the majority cannot do more than 4.4Ghz.
Packing all those cores in that small surface you going to have to cool them somehow. Also the 6900K maximum reported overclock is 5.2Ghz witn LN2 and with a good board also.
So AMD is not that different of what can be achieved currently with the same technologies by Intel, but at HALF the price
