Most of the new intels are barely an improvement on the 2600k either. I'm only on skylake because my old motherboard crapped out and couldn't find a replacement =/So is barely an improvement on my ancient 2600k, I'm out.

This is a completely new architecture so it's going to take a while to get things optimized. Going to wait for Zen 2. This is an absolute monster for the money you pay! The 1700 is just as good as the 1700x and 1800x.Not much improvement from a 3770k which is years old according to that review's gaming benchmarks
