That explains the lack of 'leaked' gaming benchmarks then
as was saying to people intel still way infront for gaming.hopefully not many jumped in for hype from x99 or newer intel platforms for gaming.some big differences.

So it has performance caveats. I'm not shocked. I thought it would. I've posted in this thread saying that I wouldn't be surprised to see inconsistent performance.
But this is a good launch CPU wise, and assuming they do keep churning out new chips, it looks good.

Not much improvement from a 3770k which is years old according to that review's gaming benchmarks
Most of the new intels are barely an improvement on the 2600k either. I'm only on skylake because my old motherboard crapped out and couldn't find a replacement =/
I'm in a similar boat, however I assume the R5 processors are going to be better for gaming. Fingers crossed anyways.
Still looks extremely good for what you would normally buy an 8 core CPU for.

This is a completely new architecture so it's going to take a while to get things optimized. Going to wait for Zen 2.
This is an absolute monster for the money you pay! The 1700 is just as good as the 1700x and 1800x.

intel just dropped i7 7700k prices aswell.they going to clean up.as some did say intel is gaming.
