Can you post cpuz screenshots showing memory speed/timings and another showing clock speed and voltage?

Checked temps? My gf's PC was having huge difficulty even with low-requirement games compared to mine, with horrendous stuttering pretty much constantly. Turned out one of the arms of the the CPU cooler was cracked so the CPU wasn't being cooled correctly and was thus throttling all the time.

Anyone who is getting B350 Tomahawk with there new shiny R5, or even R7 for that matter. This Corsair RAM works out the box at 3200Mhz... https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/posts/30695419/

I can only assume it will work with all MSI boards.

Great stuff Scramz

Do you find the b350 Tomahawk lack lusting features and not been able to overclock ..

Joker slammed the toma board a bit harsh on MSI i think there and it really bugs me when you have him pushing the 370 boards

I prefer bang for buck and the Toma with a 1700 is just that

I have been happy with these toma boards oc the 1700's just as well as any x370 so i do not understand jokers findings & some peeps on these forums stating otherwise ...

I have had no issues with this board and it has everything I need to run the system overclocked on all components.

Everything has been smooth. For example I can run 4.1Ghz @ 3200Mhz RAM fine with a few simple clicks, set multiplier on CPU and volts then click A-XMP profile for RAM to kick in. Simple as that.

EDIT: Tiny Tom Logans review of the Tomahawk, he gave it a really good review in being one of the better B350s on the market, even beating out the X models.

One on the beta bios I have has RAM BLCK overclocking on a B350 board! Features are come and fast.

I will grab some pics.

Does the Tomahawk B350 have a dual bios for back up purposes at all in case of boot failure, bricking itself, etc?

Ive had the Tomahawk B350 since day 1 , bought it as a stop gap till the stock situation improved, but ive no plans to change it at all, think its a great cheap board.

I've had both boards and can see where he is coming from. I only used the tomahawk until beta bios 1.13 (?) I think it was.
Then I went with the crosshair. I see people with good overclocks on both boards but for those wanting to squeeze every ounce of performance are going to want the x370. Also manufacturers are favouring the x370 and thats a bonus with the start ryzen had.
With the price of the x370 its not for everybody but if people are going to keep this for the next 4 years then a better quality board with better support is worth it. Would I recommened a x370 to everybody? No way, the amount of options in there can be daunting they are very much a tinkerers board.

Erm, you do know Samsung is actually the biggest manufacturer of RAM/NAND in the world right?

Erm, Yeah... and your point is what? All of their manufacturing is being utilised by their own phone/tablet/PC product and on top of that is being used by Apple, how much do you think is being left for you or I to buy? The answer is very little... hence ***** prices.

It is really nice that the B350 gives the users 95% of the features of the x370 (thanks to AMD) and that the motherboard makers are updating these entry level boards along side their flagship.

Really between both of them ryzen provides an incredible value for money setup when pairing a B350 (sub £100) motherboard with a 1600 or 1700.

Although it does seem some B350 boards are achieving the same, if not high clocks than some X boards. It seems very down to the CPU rather than the motherboard. This maybe different with the Zen+,
