HWINFO64What Temp monitors do people use please?
I use to use on my 2600k Core temp but thats showing zero on everything when i try it ?
Also when doing a bench test it said max speend 3.4 i thought 3.8 would be or am i missing something ?
Thanks
I wouldn't worry about core temp. I wouldn't expect to get any sort of accurate temperature out of an AMD chip and haven't since Phenom II.
I remember thuban would report sub ambient temperatures
I think it'd only turbo up to 3.8 on single core stuff.
I've been using HWinfo and Ryzen Master for temps atm
ThanksHWINFO64
As above, HWinfo for temp monitoring, and it's the 'Package' temp you want to look at.
Also the 'base' clock is the all thread speed (hence 3.4GHz), 3.8GHz is the boost clock for up to 2 threads.
965 on my 1600 @ 3.7 with my old 2400mz RAM. Hopefully see a decent increase when my 3200mhz G.Skill kit arrives.
This is how i judge performance, can it run FM large database hahaGot my 1700 at stock.
Holidaying on FM17 I can already see the processing power lol.
Gaming performance thumbs up.
However browsing the web my old 3570k seems to be able to load pages faster than my 1700.
Doesn't matter as much as donut use the 1700 for browsing but just an observation.
This is with Chrome which is meant to be multi thread.
why is every ryzen so slow to boot!?
I noticed the opposite if anything, my haswell xeon at 3.7 certainly feels slower browsing and youtube viewing. The boot time on that would wipe the floor with this though why is every ryzen so slow to boot!?
While I'm here, my Gigabyte B350 board keeps removing the Sound Blaster Z card, if I reseat it, it works fine but every time I cold boot it disappears again. Rinse and repeat. Cant be removing and reseating it every time, any ideas?
Mine has the quickest boot I have ever seen

Must be something in your bios. Change boot order to SSD first and turn on fast boot / disable splash etc...
Its the stupid checks it does, check dram checks cpu check vga then boot. I've had 2 boards now both the same.
