Giving the lie to the interesting times curse? Interesting times indeed for the CPU/APU market. I have an A8 APU in my HTPC/minor gaming rig and Sandybridge in my main PC gaming rig, but my interest is indeed being piqued by all these new AMD offerings. Only question is how long to hold out for the best upgrade platform...

1600 or 1600x, for the sake of £40?
For the sake of 100 MHz at most though? Technically that last £40 for an extra 100 MHz is really bad relative value but it's up to you if you want higher chance of better clocks.For the sake of £40 1600X, it might be better binned.

personally I'd stick with a 1600 and throw the 40 quid saved into ram or gpu upgrade
any news on the low power laptop offerings yet?
