*** AMD "Zen" thread (inc AM4/APU discussion) ***

BTW your sources source is WCCFtech, and i think there source is reddit.

Here's PCPer showing 3 CPUs with boost at 4Ghz, two 14 cores, and one 10 core.

This has peaked my interest and also made me change my ryzen motherboard buying tactic. If I do go for a AMD 1700 I will probably go for a cheap motherboard with a view to upgrade to Threadripper in a couple of years.

Giving the lie to the interesting times curse? Interesting times indeed for the CPU/APU market. I have an A8 APU in my HTPC/minor gaming rig and Sandybridge in my main PC gaming rig, but my interest is indeed being piqued by all these new AMD offerings. Only question is how long to hold out for the best upgrade platform...

I'm thinking the jump to 7nm might be the right time. I can see the next drop after that being some way off.

Anyone picked up any fresh AM4 ITX news? I've been giving it a quick search every couple of days but not glimpsed a thing. It's still all about Biostar's X370/B350 based boards.

I have only read anything about the laptop cpu's in that link, so i'm sort of hopeful that they may have the same socket as our desktop Ryzen's ?
I well remember how we all raved about the socket A xp1700's, they clocked very well. But when AMD released the Mobile version's it was like us clockers had died and gone to heaven. I hope they can repeat the same thing this time round.
