American Truck Simulator

14 mins for me, but only DLing at 1.2MB, if it were my peak speed of 2.7MB that's not enough for a cuppa..

Fingers crossed the mods I've seen work, but will be taking it easy and using base game material to start.

Ok, it's not a preload, I just got in :D

Dammit, just tried to setup my controls and my wheel isn't working... I think it might have gotten killed when my roof leaked over my office last year.
Going to have to play with a 360 controller until I can justify picking up a new one.

Looking forward to a nice long 5 hour drive on the weekend though.

I've yet to play any game I enjoyed with a wheel yet. I've never felt the "connection" you'd get with a real car/vehicle and it put me off. I've used a 360 pad since I first got ETS2 and, for me, it fits the "disconnect".

Glad this is out early, anyway. Just running the first delivery now.

Impressed so far.

I probably get more enjoyment from using a wheel with my games because I don't drive a real car, so haven't been able to feel that difference between simulated driving and real.

Having a blast with this tonight!

Definitely has more polish than ETS out of the box. My only real complaint is how very sparse the AI traffic is. Looking forward to mods being released to add more content and address little niggles.

Using the darker asphalt mod. I really like it. Have not even ventured into Nevada yet.

Anyway to remove or at least try to remove the jaggies? I'm at max settings and MLAA or whatever it is, is on. Would Nvidia Inspector help?

The game engine is known to have issues with, or just plain poor, anti-aliasing. Once they switch to DX11/12 we may get much better results.

Best way to get rid of the jaggies is with the resolution scaling setting in the options. 300 or 400% should sort it.
