Amiga games

im trying to remember the name of a game. I hope it was real im pretty sure it wasn't a dream.

Anyway it was a platformer and you walked along gunning things down. I think you were a robot or something because as you got hit bits of you fell off and eventually you were just like a mechanical man.

The only other thing i remember is that at the end of the first level you got to the boss and he said "Please Dont Kill me!!" and then for some reason his trousers fell down?!?

This all sounds pretty odd now i have thought it through. Anyone else remember this game?

robocop?

3 pages and not one person has mentioned IK+ ?? best fighting game ever in my eyes, used me make my friend and I fall about laughing for hours on end playing that game.
The sound effects were hillarious..

And pressing various keys on the keyboard created certain 'effects' to apprar (i.e. from memory so it may be a little rusty hitting space made there trousers fall down).

I'd completley forgotten about Dark Seed I must admit - might have a go on my towered A1200 tonight... :D

wow, amiga games, some of my favourites were 'it came from the desert', monkey island, El vira, Magic Pockets, Chuck rock, Moonstone, Blues Brothers, James pond 2,Leisure suit larry skidmarks and Test drive 2, R-type and speedball 2 lol.

There was also a public domain game where you flew a paper aeroplane around a globe shooting your opponents but cannot remember its name :(

IK+ was excellent, if you pressed the space bar their trousers fell down. :p

I love New Zealand Story, Rainbow Islands, Flood, Nitro, Lotus Turbo Challenge 2, Winter Sports 92, Shadow of the Beat, BASK and also getting magazines with games on the front as the internet wasn't about much back then.

/hangs head in shame

both IK+ (best music evar!) and Moonstone (decapitations!) are indeed worthy amiga legends.

yep IK+ and Moonstone were 2 of my favs ...with Barbarian - SWOS - California Games :) amongst others.

made a tonne off money of my mates in SWOS, i was totally unbeatable on icy pitches lol ....ahhh the bouncing curve on ice goals :D

Talking of IK+. I remember when Archer MacLean used to pop in to my local computer games shop in Hockley Nottingham. He even put a message in the game, If you type in "INTOTO" in the game it comes up with "Cheers to everyone at Intoto"

Another great game by Archer was dropzone.

Fond memories but makes me feel so old :(

He also did Jimmy Whites Snooker on the Amiga , another classic game

so many good games in one sentence! The number of hours I must have spent on Lotus 2! I still find it quite playable these days which is always a good sign of a great game! For some reason I used to love NZ story, was well random though, a kiwi with a bow and arrow? game designers were nuts in those days!

Joystick Cat prefers Quickshot II.

Ah, the nostalgia. Great thread. The Amiga was my first introduction to gaming. IK+, Supercars 2, Monkey Island (still my favourite game of all time), It Came From the Desert, Dungeon Master, Moonstone, FA/18 Interceptor all had me hooked. I'm surprised no one has mentioned Sword of Sodan, man that game was tough. And what about Baal? Anyone remember that? The adventure games were great too. Future Wars, Operation Stealth and Cruise for a Corpse sucked me in big time.
