An Elder Scrolls: Oblivion thead

First to all you FPS-on-console nay-sayers. Its not an FPS its an FP-RPG. My point being that, sure you cant swivel around mid clifftop leap and nail 1ongj0n69 through the head while in snipe mode, i completely agree. But my level 15 mage can summon up a nymph, cast a volley of fireballs and draw his side-arm just fine from a pad thank you very much.

For me, the first thing im gonna do is explore the land. Im gonna marvel at waterfalls, swim in the crystal blue ocean. I'm going to shoot at frolicking deer and roam the woods until nightfall. I'll camp near a gently babbling stream near the comforting glow of a patch of luminous russla, and when i wake, my adventure will truly begin.

:p So, your taking this game quite seriously then?

I have a 360 and a decent PC, so question it'll be the PC for me.
Simply because I don't have an HDTV and don't fancy buying one for a while yet. £24.99 for the standard edition too, not bad in my opinion.

Best i have found is £34.99 for collectors but only £24.99 for the standard issue. Where are these cheaper deals??

Have a look at the main places, I'm sure you'll fine a place that will send it to you for 24.99.

Can't wait only a week to go. Told the GF she won't see me much that week lol ;) .

Google is your friend.

I have booked a few days off work, uber sadness lol.

Last time I did that was for Rome Total War :D

The place that we all got the collectors edition from for 24.99 has gone back up to 29.99. They must have realized they were selling both editions at the same price!

I've looked on my account and my copy is still there for 24.99 :D .

I don't need Red Bull, I'm naturally a night person so will no doubt be up till 2am most nights playing this :)

What class you going for, if you go for a mage or wizard please call it Davey_Witch :p

I'll be super creative and call mine 'Dave' (my name for everyone else), makes reading any screen text really easy.

No idea what class, maybe a battlemage, seems like quite a decent all-round class, and maybe use an Elf of some kind as they're pretty good at archery, something I always enjoy doing.

I normally go Knight, a solid all round fighter but with a charming personality the Mr Local Village Hero :)

Was going to pre-order it... but I've been getting screwed over as of late with my pre-orders. For example I didn't get Psychonauts for ages, or Kirby for the DS. Same with the new Steven Erikson book..

So I've just put down a deposit a local gaming store. £28 for the Collectors edition isn't too bad.

P.S Playing a thief as first character :)

I preordered this today - i haven't a clue what class/race I'll be able to choose, nor what's good.

Any guide to the classes anyway (haven't looked yet because i'm too busy (lazy)) :)
Well, if it's anything like Morrowind, then you make your own class. You start off with a set of attributes, skills, etc., which you can customise, and then you just build on your character from there.
