An Elder Scrolls: Oblivion thead

good job bethesda i just got giving shadowmere and the only thing waiting out side was the stupiod horse i have been ignoring for most of the game and no shadowmere, i have been mapping about random stables and passing days in game time and still no shadowmere at fort faragut, might have to use a console command but trying not to, go 20 year old bugs :P

think i had the same problem on my first playthrough 20 years ago even tried killing the stupid horse outside and now theres no horses out side

May be worth trying the horse whistle mod.

The Cursed Mine has become cursed LOL, I can't save anywhere in the vicinity of it now without the game crashing and can't enter it without the game crashing, hopefully don't have any need for it later in the game.

Mine was crashing on save at times.
The solution that seems to have worked was to conduct a vid card driver update. However, not just the standard “express”, but to select the “custom”, then “clean install” option for my Nvidia drivers.

Still amazes me how psychic the guards appear to be when you do something a tad naughty lol

EDIT : is there a way to arrange items in my inventory eg repair hammers so i dont have to scroll down all the time and have them at the top?

Made me laugh, I did something a bit naughty in the Hackdirt caverns (it shouldn't really be the case but for some reason the game decides it is), guard immediately runs up to arrest me when I got within a sniff of a town.

yeh or u muder someone and its like err ok ill pay the fine and be about my day lmao

Good to know!

I'm the same, I'm still enjoying it but when I feel like it's becoming a bit of a slog travelling from one place to the next I end up just fast travelling and that breaks the immersion for me, at that point I just switch it off and go do something else. I'm still very much having a blast though and can definitely see me doing another play through with mods, but this time as maybe a magic user.

Hope they fix DLSS for the game - I'm living with it for now as it doesn't affect it too much but forcing latest DLSS has a lot of smearing under certain lighting conditions despite a lot of the time especially in static scenes looking 10x better than the stock DLSS version for the game, while the as shipped DLSS version has much better image stability and hardly any smearing but much softer look.

This is true of all quest items in all Bethesda games (inc Fallout 3 and 4), although this was the first to do it. The inventory shows a weight, but a script sets it to zero until the quest is complete.
