Andor (Star Wars)

Where do people think they are going with the Deputy Inspector (Syril Karn)? Initially I thought that he was going to end up as part of the rebellion, but the character seems much too fanatically Imperial for that, and they don't seem to be going that way. So what's his role in the story? Is he going to end up working for Dedra Meero? Kind of a second villain within the ISB?

I think they might be setting him up for a character arc that takes him from being a simple local police lieutenant who was fired thanks to his near-miss with catching Andor, to being a 'real' Imperial officer that becomes a fanatical enemy of the rebellion. He clearly has some smarts and is a driven and determined individual, so it would make sense for him to be inducted in some way. As for the love interest stuff that is also very amusing and I am looking forward to seeing how it plays out in some inevitable super awkward sexy scene with Meero. Assuming she doesn't kill him first. :D

I can see it being some kind of sado masochistic thing with him tying her up and being in control (mother issues and all that)

Pretty epic breakout attempt nice tension watching it.

hopefully people realise how good this is and we get away from all the normal marvel/disney crap and back to good cinema

What a brilliant series. Some great casting with everyone knocking it out the park.

Stellan Skarsgard has been amazing when hes been on screen along with Forest Whitaker last week.

That was a great episode.
Can't imagine many survived that swim though unless you are some sort of olympic swimmer, the shore looked miles away! I wonder is that the last we'll see of Serkis character.

Isn't it good when writers actually write and actors can actually ACT...! Serkis and Skarsgård... Who would have ever seen these 2 as being Star wars legends...
Though I imagine that was Serkis' final curtain .
This should get Emmy nominations.
Even Mon gets the choice of Giant douche or turd sandwich..

Honestly a joy to watch.... only 7 days to wait :(

Im not sure where this is going but it doesn't seem too relevant anymore....
im sure it will have some kind of impact but i doubt it will be pivitol.?
I'm up for anything though

I didn't have high hopes for this show but it's so far been one of the best Disney series

I'm glad they left it ambiguous as I was expecting him to die saving the inmates. I expect that's the last we see of him but wouldn't be surprised if he's name dropped later

Yeh this is getting into Emmy nominations territory now for sure. I think Andy absolutely should be up for one, he was on another level.
Probably would never win against the Succession juggernaut but a few noms would be more than worthy.

Best Disney+ show by a country mile.

I think this is probably the best series of 2022.
I would have to agree with this. The last episode was so good exactly because they invested two episodes building up to that point, making you care about the characters and conditions in the facility. All other Star Wars series have been paper thin compared to Andor and it's only now we have realized what we were missing. It is Star Wars tense action with GOT's brutality and political intrigue and Blade Runners gritty realism. You feel like everything matters, like there are huge stakes at play on both sides. The fact they have also put so much focus on letting us see the inner workings of the Imperium is a breath of fresh air.

I can't really think of anything meaningful (ie: not petty) to really complain about and considering my complaints about Mandalorian etc then to me it's a big deal. It's just... awesome. :D
