Andor (Star Wars)

One thing I did think last night while rewatching episode 10 was how come the whole prison population was human? That has been a small complaint of mine the lack of other species. There could be reason for all human inmates. There's always something you can make fault with.

I'm pretty sure I saw on Instagram that in America there going to show Andor on some other networks other than Disney plus which I thought was interesting.

All human = a consistent and predictable workforce that can all be controlled in the same way and will work and communicate together better as a team in a monotonous task that requires focus and teamwork.

Also, The Empire do not generally like or trust aliens.

Really impressed with this show, it feels spot on, so grown up and well written. Characters feel real and the story is believable.

This week's episode:

Luthen's ship is a bit of a beast. Poor B-2EMO :(

Tony Gilroy has said they had a choice - concentrate on humans in the foreground and aliens in the background and make the best of the resources they had, or have to deal with the massive complexity of doing the show well with a mix of human and alien elements in the foreground and diluting their resources.

Richdog's explanation kind of makes sense as well - for a prison which also serves as a production facility it vastly simplifies things.

Just getting all the pieces in place for a final episode i guess.
Some good scenes but overall just a setup.

I assume the last episodes gonna bring everyone together back where we started.

Damn then we have to wait ages :(

That space battle was pretty damn epic. Volume up cinematic experience for sure.

Shame it didn't last a bit longer and shame they didn't stick a sneaky bit of Vociferous in when launching the air wing.

Keeps getting better and better.

I like that the bad guys aren't just 2D villains and loving being evil - much more sinister when they are rationalising the bad things they do, even feeling just in carrying out atrocities, etc.

I find it a bit dull at times though, but can't deny the development is something which has been badly missing from too many TV shows these days and most stuff builds up to a pay off even if a bit tedious sometimes to get through.
