I see. So I'm on an island where I can see both of those symbols on the top (for the wheat / grain and herb) but I do not get the option to build a wheat farm..?

oh hum must be just me :(

ah I see I wasn't aware that there was a certain number you needed before you get the option to build the farms as this is what a "beer" island would be for me but no option to start any production as yet...



I have just over 1600 in total population.
 
Beer production is on the next tab I think. You also need a certain number of patricians before the option appears.
Btw if you hover your cursor over icons, it tells you what it does and what's required. Eg. When you hover over a brewery it will tell you that it produces beer and requires wheat and herbs (I think?) to brew the stuff.
 
Thanks for that but you can't, iirc, actually progress citizens to patricians until they have the entertainment (beer) that they need. As I do not see the brewey option, nothing in the other tab, I can't see any requirements.
 
I keep getting quests to take someone from my village to lord what's his faces, for example an alchemist, but I don't have an alchemist anywhere? :confused:

You just need to build a tavern. You don't need to produce beer to advance citizens.
 
ah thanks for that :) I have now just got patricians t move in and so the grain option is now available :)

Like the spies which you are asked to find you will usually find them in your main city highlighted with a glowing blue outline around them. You might need to zoom in to your town and rotate the map to find them. Click on them and then they will go in to your warehouse on that island for you to transport them by ship to where requested.

You have to look at all the people in your town and find him, they are usually outlined in a blue glow but depending on the size of your town they can be a pain in the backside to find.

Then once you found him and clicked him he becomes an item in your warehouse which you can load onto ships.
 
Just a quick FYI for people on here. I'm sure poeple are aware that you can drag and change the icons on your right click menu, including the middle 3, so you have quicker menu items... But you can also add a row of quick icons to the bottom of the screen. None of the posted screenshots have them on so thought I should mention it to help out :p
 
Is there a "leveling" guide knocking around? I can't get my citizens to become partricians, even though they are max needs and I have several thousand of them.
 
Got wood stone and tools coming out of my ears lol. Found the ascension ladder on marketplace, it shows I need nomads and envoys on my island before I can get particians?!
