One more question, how do you know if they CPU is going to request a ridiculous voltage at say 4.5ghz? Do you just have to go up a bit at a time and into bios to avoid this eventuality?
Can get BSOD's on idle when its fine underload, just need to play with the voltages and get the balance right
If left on auto, you'll see how much. You can use coretemp or cpu-z etc... to find out the present voltage.
But potentially the damage could be done by then if you boot at 45x multi and it's pumping 1.5v through the chip? I haven't tried it myself yet, I just want to be clear before I do.
