This would have been better off being announced at a special event nearer launch. But I guess waiting that long would have caused people to think this iPhone is vaporware!

Seems they pre-lauched before the hardware is available to avoid all the details of it being found out through FCC filings in the US.

So no new products have been released today

Of course they have. The Apple TV will be up for sale at the end of the show, shipping next month. I'm guessing the new movies through the partnership with Paramount will be up in the blink of an eye. The iPhone is being released in June state-side, they've just changed their company name...
