The 6800 has 512GB/s bandwidth with 16Gb/s IC's
With 18Gb/s IC's it will have 433GB/s bandwidth
With 20Gb/s IC's it will have 480GB/s bandwidth
The 4060Ti has 288GB/s
The 4070 has 455GB/s

I am only trying to explain their "logic". The big issue is they are probably banking on the Starfield promo to push sales, but once it disappears, basically they will have to drop it in price anyway. They will price it too high and miss an open goal as per usual. 16gb 4060 can be had for 480. people will pay for the 4060 over the AMD card.
Reviews will focus on RT and DLSS on games like cyberpunk.
So what do people think would be a 'good' (and plausible not wishful thinking) price for the 7700XT and 7800XT?
Yeah I think in the current climate that sounds, as you say, OK but the reshifting of the lineups from both teams has been a real cheapshot.I think £400ish would be OK for the RX7700XT and £450~£500 for an RX7800XT.
But if we were to ignore the upselling, the RX7700XT is the RX7600XT/RX7700 should be £300~£350 and the RX7800XT which is the RX7700XT should be £400(like the RTX4070 should be as it as RTX4060TI).
Probably because the RTX4060TI 8GB RRP is $400,so they are probably thinking 50% more VRAM,12% more performance and a copy of Starfield is enough.
In the UK that would equate to around £430ish with a £60 copy of Starfield. The awful RTX4060TI 8GB is the reason this has happened. If it had even been a 16GB card it might have changed things.
But a bigger issue is the huge gap between the RX7600 and the RX7700XT,unless we see an RX7600XT or RX7700 launched too.
Maybe Battlemage will save the middle ground.
Well there's your problem.I am only trying to explain their "logic". ...

Oh I don't think any of them are out to do us any favours.Intel tried to sell the A770 for $200 more than a card that was faster than it, even right now they are trying to sell the A770 for $40 more than the RX 7600 which is better.
Don't count on Intel they see themselves more as Nvidia than they do AMD.
Depends on performance, if the 7800XT is 5-10% slower than a 4070Ti then £600 would be a good price. If it's 5-10% faster than a 4070 then £450/500 would be a good price. So what do people think would be a 'good' (and plausible not wishful thinking) price for the 7700XT and 7800XT?
As for the 7700XT that really needs to be 10%'ish faster than the 4060TI and cost no more than £300.
The only issue i have with that is that the 7900XT's MSRP is $950 now reduced, although I'm not sure if official, to $762.IMO judging by that charts the 7800XT is 5% faster than the 4070, but that includes RT games.
Its going to be no more than $550.
I mean we don't actually know how much more of a GPU it is yet, it maybe physically/logically 35% bigger but those are not good indicators of performance. Its more than that i think, the 4060Ti struggles to keep up with the RX 6700XT and the 7700XT is 35% more GPU than it.
Save me, Lisa Su..Oh I don't think any of them are out to do us any favours.

At the price you suggest it would leave anything from a two to four hundred dollar price gap in their line-up.
