Not content with relabelling a 7700XT as a 7800XT they even use the same cooler, wasn't the 6700XT a dual fan jobbie.

I guess we'll know how much they're taking the urine when they announce the price, close to the $400-450 of the 5700XT-6700XT and it may not be that bad. Close to the $650 of the 6800XT and they're taking people for mugs.

complete specs for both 7700XT has 54 CU compared to 40 on the 6700/6750XT. Memory is the same compared to the 6750XT.

lol 7800xt looks like only few % faster compared to 6800xt no surprise just following nvidia , so obvious that the 7900xt should have been it , now lets see what they will price them at

Should be much faster than 6700 XT, no?

Suspect it will cost a good bit more than the recent £299.99 6700 XTs in that case.

The RX7800X and RX7700XT are very close together. The RX7700XT has 35% more shaders than an RX6700XT:

Unless the memory subsystem holds it back,it shouldn't be far off an RX6800:

The RX7800XT doesn't look much of an improvement. I do hope AMD doesn't try to overprice the RX7700XT,like it did the RX7900XT,to upsell the model above OTH!

And fugly.

Ewww...

:D

It doesn't really bother me,as I don't use a windowed case and have a SFF system. I don't like very big graphics cards.

Knowing AMD....too much! :p

Also just looked at the AMD performance figures at the bottom. The RX7700XT is being compared to the RTX4060TI 16GB. So that means it probably is being priced around $450~$500!

It might be OKish at $450(around £430 or £50 more than RTX4060TI 8GB) if it comes with Starfield Premium, but once that promo the value is going to get worse.

7700XT $450 and 7800XT $550 is what it’s looking like and another fail from AMD.

Yup I think you're probably right. I wonder how that 7800XT would compare with the 4070 then? Obviously I'd prefer the 16GB but as my priority is power restrictions (and a bit of VR) it would probably edge me towards waiting for a palatable 4070 deal. urrgggghhhh!

Probably because the RTX4060TI 8GB RRP is $400,so they are probably thinking 50% more VRAM,12% more performance and a copy of Starfield is enough.

In the UK that would equate to around £430ish with a £60 copy of Starfield. The awful RTX4060TI 8GB is the reason this has happened. If it had even been a 16GB card it might have changed things.

But a bigger issue is the huge gap between the RX7600 and the RX7700XT,unless we see an RX7600XT or RX7700 launched too.

They will price it too high and miss an open goal as per usual. 16gb 4060 can be had for 480. people will pay for the 4060 over the AMD card.

Reviews will focus on RT and DLSS on games like cyberpunk.

54? that's 35% more than the 6700XT.
If the 7700XT has 54 what does the 7800XT have? 60 is only 11% more.

Wow these cards are going to be power hungry and the power spikes may be worse.

What gives you that idea? The 7900XTX has 96 CU's at 350 watts, that's 77% more CU's than 54.

The RX 6800 with 60 CU's is 220 watts and that's on 7nm vs 5nm, its going to be a 200 watt GPU. Like the 4070.
