Any opinions on o2 broadband?

You can email the address in my trust (not my msn/hotmail one as i never check that) and I can sort it for you.
 
My current 8mb package is pretty dire and makes downloading and streaming a task in itself. I now recall that they told us our connection should be good for 16mb. I take it that the 20mb package would be no use then and i should just go for the 16mb one?

Do they do it instantly?
 
A Big thanks to Wicksta from me, im now running on O2 @ 18meg on the ultimate package for £7.50 a month.

Please post your line stats (attenuation, SNR, sync speed).

We can then let you know what sort of speed your line will support (roughly).
 
I'll definitely be contacting one of you O2 guys in the next couple of weeks, as I've just ordered a BT line :)

How soon after the line is active, and I have a number, can it be sorted?

The simple way to check is to go to the Be website and try putting your number in - if it lets you order a product (rather than say "number not found") you should be good to go.
 
hi guys, just moved house and im getting my line activated on Nov 4th - im interested in 02 access package as my new phone exchange isnt unbundled yet but im hoping to get it at the f&f discounted rate if possible, im guessing you guys cant help till the line is activated?

Could anyone tell me if the Netgear DG834G will work on o2?
a friend of mine just got o2 and having problems getting it to work so they ended up using the o2 router instead.
or if possible could someone give me the router details i.e pppoe/pppoa VCI/VPI info so i could pass it on to her

i just have to note now that i won't be doing anymore profile changes for anyone as someone has called our CS, used my name and started hassling when they didn't turn off fastpath.

only just joined o2 myself and reading though these posts. seem you went out of your way to help people and thats the thanks you get for it
 
Mines brilliant now, connected at 8mbit originally, rang o2 up and explained i was on the friends and family thing and they regraded me there and then to unlimited and now i connect at 16mbit using the o2 router, i have a dg834gt as well which apparently will get me even more speed once i get it working.

Im sorry to hear someones been a fool mate, id like you to know i really apreciated having this deal been a student.

Sorry to hear that dude.

On a happier note thanks to everyone who let me sign them up; I ended up being the top connector last month and won a nice trip to The O2 for me and my other half to see Finding Nemo On Ice :)

Would also like to say a big thanks for my F&F sign up. Connected yesterday and synched at 13mb, very happy for £7.50 a month!
