Any opinions on o2 broadband?

O2 have been amazingly quick so far.

Signed up yesterday at around 3pm. By 5pm I had an activation date of the 15th! and my O2 wireless box arrived at 9am this morning.

Anyone think the £70 Quidco deal, or one greater than £25, is likely to return?

I didn't bother reading this thread as I thought it was all LLU customers :(

Having learnt of the now expired deal, I decided to check O2 pricing for the Access package (non-LLU). Without having an O2 mobile it still looked good value. I suppose even the current £25 deal brings it just under £20 per month, providing service doesn't deteriorate too much before contact time expires.

Damn its back to £25 now :(

Hmm ye saw that too.

Was on another forum, possibly moneysaving expert or hotukdeals, and someone posted a reply to a ticket from quidco staff saying it expired on the 11th. Guess they don't even know what they are on about.

Glad I sorted it early, ordered friday night and router pack was dispatched yesterday. My mum says she has been getting txts to her phone left right and centre telling her about the broadband, thanking her for choosing O2, and other details :D

So let me get this straight even going thru quidco link you save £25 cash back after 60 days of installation? and you also get 02s free 3 months service Sale offer ?

tbh the deals so tempting and good id still go for it !

Just got email from o2 regarding F&F thank you very very much Wicksta for your help. Modem is ordered and i live about 1k from the exchange so i can get the Pro speed. should be connected for 31 Jan. Cannot wait.

Thanx again Wicksta

Im with bulldog on 8mb and want to join 02.

However 02 cant tell me what speeds i'll get due to being on a bulldog line.

What do I do? I'll obviously need to switch to a BT line for 02.

Any hints?

All activated and setup today. Many thanks to Wicksta again.

Very happy all round, but was hoping for a bit more speed, checker suggested I could get around 13mb and the router originally connected at 11mb but speed tested at 9mb. Router now reads:

Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 1,278 / 9,032

Is there anything that I/o2 can do to gain a bit more speed ? Have tried connecting through the test socket, but that made no difference.

No problem if not, but its always nice to have more...

If it helps:

Is it possible to combine Quidco sign up and F&F?

I got a carried away after missing the previous Quidco offer, so have signed up for Access package. But if anyone is still offering F&F and it can be applied after sign up, I'm interested :)

No AFAIK. The F&F deal involves an o2 staff member submitting your details, from that you get an email with details of the number to call to place your order.

So your better off surely NOT taking the F&F deal and if you got an o2 sim, just sign up for the £7 or 9 quid per month 02 BB deal and still get 70 quid back from quidco ?

Or am I missing something !? Sounds even better when o2 are advertising sign now and get 1st 3 months free!

Hah yeah, looks like they've dropped the prices loads for existing customers. Plus 3 months free and the cashback is a hefty amount, on o2 premium it'll take a fair while for anyone with an o2 sim to see a saving if they went for the F&F deal. Obviously over o2 standard and an o2 sim they're not going to see a saving at all.

4TB a month ? thx ill avoid it then, Ukonline been pretty good to me think ill stick with whats safe and works :)
Sorry did you just say that 4TB is not enough? I'd consider 1TB to be pretty much "unlimited" since there's no way anyone who wanders outside now and again could ever go anywhere near that.
