Any opinions on o2 broadband?

Get involved people the £70 is back.

On the 7.34 package (8 MB) that means £18 a year, and ONE POUND FIFTY A MONTH :D

Crikey, that's some cheap internetz! Although I'm on the access package at my home, I'm going to be installing broadband at my new business premesis. Is there anything to stop me using 'home' broadband for this? I can't see a reason why I'd need anything more than what I've been used to at home - there'll only be 2 computers in the building and only me working there initially! Also, since I signed up, 2 options have become 4 on the o2 site. I can get o2 LLU at the new address, but the website suggests a max of 8Mb. The unit next door struggles to get half this, but their phonelines are a complete bodge. Any reason for me to get anything other than the cheapest package?

Well I have signed up to o2s pro as a customer (I am now) so just under £10 for my BB free 3 months and £70 quidoco.

Im happy. But Im hoping I get more than the 6mb is says I will get as thats what Im on now on normal ASDL.

Can someone set me up with another Friends and Family account please? Have one for my self but a family friend wants to move from BT to o2 now. Did ask Paul but he's not got back to me for a while.

i was with UKFSN, and they realeased me without any fuss on my O2 activation date, u will be billed upto the 21st by titan.

I know i was on a different ISP but as long as your contract is up i dont see a problem.

I'm thinking about leaving Sky and going to O2. How long should it take to migrate?

Also, how does one go about the quidco cashback?

Just wanted to say that my 02 connection has improved drastically over the last couple of months, its not perfect, but Im much happier now with latency.

I've been reading on TBB if you call after 11pm you can get interleaving switched off (ipstream) is there any truth to this?

It normally seems to take about a week to get a BT appointment to migrate, with minimal downtime while the engineer switches you over in the exchange.

I'm not too worried about downtime as I'm away for a week from the 25th so I'm going to see if I can time it right :)

Moving flat this weekend and was looking at O2 BB as I'm on Simplicity. Good to hear about the reviews and £70 cashback with quidco thank you god!!

Just got back from the O2 shop. I went into buy an iPhone and to find out more about the BB.

I've signed upto the Standard Package as I can't get more than 8M on my line. The real bonus was a FREE 16GB iPod Touch. Yes, FREE :)

For Quidco offer you need to register on that site. Have cookies enable, for Quidco to track your orders, as a result some people recommend using a different browser reserved just for Quidco use (I use Firefox for Quidco and IE7 for normal stuff)

Log in to Quidco and find O2 section, click link for offer. This places a tracking cookie and links you to O2. Complete O2 application and log off, or close browser.

After a few hours Quidco account will update Earnings section to show O2 transaction. Quidco charge a £5 annual free that is taken from you purchase savings. So if don't use it for much else, you'll end up with £65 from O2 offer.

Hi all, my BT broadband option 3 contracts up end of this month, been with them for years and won’t be renewing this time, due to them throttling the line since late 2008 between 6pm and 1am weekdays + weekends. Not happy with this, when you consider I live some distance from exchange and only manage 3/3.5mb connection as result, so throttling down to under 512k is a **** take.

Thankfully O2/BE operate from my local exchange and I’m considering the move (pleased to read they don’t throttle connections :)), however my local exchange is of the ‘unbundled’ variety, would I see a possible dip in line quality and max speeds due to this, or is that a non-issue?

Unbundling is the process by which o2/Be operate from your local exchange, it is the reason they can offer you improved service (ADSL2+ instead of ADSL).

Seems O2 operate a all peak time usage rather then on/off peak. Makes them useless for me sadly.

Easily use around 100-200gb off peak.
