Any opinions on o2 broadband?

Curious also, o2 is say 7.50 per month, but how much do you pay for the BT line also? I keep think it's 7.50 only, but I guess there's also the phone line charges. What's the total amount you pay? if you don't mind me asking that is.

The connection charge is free now. If you sign up after that date then you need to pay a connection charge. Signing up now will incur no cost.

Im not sure on the exact cost, but you do need a line rental each month.

I signed up to the cheapest option from BT - £10.50 p/m if you get online billing. If you take out a 12 month deal with them you also get free evening and weekend calls (I think without the agreement, it's only free weekend calls).

I can get you a discount on Access as well as LLU. For Access the discount will put you at £12.50 and for LLU it'll be £7.50. As far as I'm aware this is irrespective of whether or not you're an O2 customer.

I would like to take up the Access discount if it is possible to switch over to LLU once it becomes available. I think it should be possible and i dont see why they couldn't let you do it, other than the 12 month contract.

Yeah I think we should go ahead with it anyway. I haven't received anything back yet so it would be just as easy for you to ask when you call them.

I'll put it through first thing on Monday morning.

z0mbi3 are you still available to offer discounts on LLU products??
as im looking to purchase the 16meg one for £15/month as i dont have an o2 phone but obviously if i could get the 16meg for even chepaer it would be nice, or even the 20meg for the price of 16.

Got this reply from O2 as well, so it should be okay even though some people are having minor issues with switching over since this is the first time O2 have done this:

Hello and thanks for your email Aaron. You can take the home access package and then migrate free of charge over to the home broadband service once it is available in your area. The fastest speed which we offer on home broadband is up to 20 meg. This package is dependant on how far you are from the exchange and also the quality of your BT line.

That's good. Not that I'd expect you to have any problems, but keep that mail just in case. You never know it could come in handy one day.

Will do. One other thing, im going away all next week, so is it still ok to order it now? I should get the starter pack this week if i order today and then activation next week.

EDIT: Just remembered, have you sent me the O2 discount email yet? Just want to make sure i didn't delete it in my spam box or anything!

Yeah it's around 24 hours. Most so far have been less as far as I'm aware.

I double checked and I hadn't done yours already. I submitted it straight after I got your mail.

just drop me an email and we'll get you sorted. Generally speaking its around a day, though Nymins seems to be taking a tad longer.
