Mine is getting activated tomorrow (O2 Access), which number am I best calling to get my username and password? As I won't be using the O2 router.

Edit: Never mind, found it now :)

I haven't yet seen my pings drop below 120ms to bbc.co.uk since 20:00 last night, making gaming impossible. It looks like I will need to use the 30 day money back guarantee.

Man I just hope o2 sort out these issues....

This doesnt sound very good for people waiting for activations heck still waiting for my mac code from ukonline !

Ive gone too a few webbys like moneysaving forums etc and everyones caught onto this deal so im not shocked everyones jumped onto it sadly making the service a lot slower.

Hopefully they increase there bandwith or upgrade there systems !

Yeah, me too. Unfortunetly it could take them a while to get more bandwidth, that's if they even admit it's a congestion issue in the first place.
I am pretty certain it is because right now the connection is flying along, but I can guarantee that after 5pm tonight pings will go back up to 120-130ms and download speeds between 0.5-2mb.
If it was a monthly contract I would wait and see what happens, but I can't risk being left with a connection like this for months on end. I think I'll take my chances and move back to Enta, at least they don't seem to be having ping issues and I will be on the City of London node which is looking good.

Thats still strange has anyone else noticed speed drops or any of forms of port/traffic shaping during evenings?

I read thru all 27 pages and checked briefly thru the TnC but aint heard or any mention of any limits/caps/ports/shaping at all !

On LLU, it would seem that there is no capping/traffic shaping and a very lax fair usage policy at the moment..

My brother has been on for a while now, and has had excellent speeds peak and off-peak... with the odd 150Gb usenet weekend, and no FUP emails so far..

I joined (on financial grounds) this month, and have been impressed with the fact I've had very little slow down if at all with all my speed tests being with 1Mbps of my sync speed (12Mbps) so far (about 30 runs over the last week).

What happens in the future is anyone's guess.! but at the moment their LLU is a pretty good service..

The regular ADSL Access on IPStream is best avoided unless cost is the major factor and you are using cashback etc to get a years cheap access

I just read this tonight and quickly got onto the phone to UK Online to get my MAC Code which they gave me over the phone there and then :)

So I have just signed up in time and the £70 has appeared in my quidco account as pending and payment date march.

Does this mean I wont get the £70 till then?

Also, how long does migration ussually take?

Thanks, Sam

You will receive your cashback two months (60 days) after the successful instalation has been made.

Migration usually takes around 1 - 2 weeks.

Stunning !

After getting the welcome pack and hearing nothing for a week since ordering (see a few pages back), mother got the text saying get involved. Told my brother to restart the DG834 and low and behold the 24MB be* connection has gone and we are now on the entry level 8MB O2. Still sync at the same 6.5MB and as reliable as ever.

Can't wait for the £70, going straight towards the shy HD HDD 1TB upgrade :D

Are you tweaking your SNR on your netgear? Mine originally sync'd at ~9000kbps, but with dropping the SNR I get a stable sync of 11980..

Not yet, it's an older non-wirless netgear I used to have at uni. Much more stable than the crummy be* box.

But have just moved home now, so will try out my TEAM firmwared DG834GT and have a play to see how it goes.

Really only my brother and me on at the same time playing games like L4D and TF2, and the odd bit of heavy downloading (legally :D) very late / at night, so don't need anything super dooper quick.

tbh after my recent experience, and fair play to o2 it might actually be all bts fault, but i wouldnt recommend the access package, simply down to the load being put on BT if they are any issues :(.

I forgot about my Quidco account, I joined O2 when it was £25 cash back.
I've just checked my account and have £20 to come back after fee's but it's on hold as I forgot to set up payment details, I've just updated it and hope it will sort itself out.

Moving to O2 has been so much better than I expected.

so umm whats the chances of me getting fastpath enabled on my line?

Any particular sucessful method when phoning? I'd really REALLY like it on since I've been playing games on american servers recently.
