Any religious people watch the Wonders of Life last night?

No it really isn't. Scientific theory = fact. Stop misusing the nomenclature.

Scientific theory is based on what they know now it could change next week then your Scientific theory will have to change to.

Nice having goal posts that change when you want.

It isn't only theists that doubt Darwinian evolution or it's newer variants!

What is your interpretation of Cambrian fossil record? It certainly appears to turn the expected Darwinian pattern upside down as the man himself conceded.

This demonstrates the mind of a theist.

They can't seem to understand that Charles Darwin is not like Jesus, he was not a prophet of evolution who came to say "this is the truth and I know everything about the theory I proclaim".

He was a biologist who helped shape one of the most important scientific theories in human history. I don't know where this bizarre inference is coming from that if you find fault with something he said, or point to an update since he died it somehow invalidates all his work and the theory of evolution.

We know a lot more about gravity now then with did in Newton's time, does that mean he was wrong and we should therefore change it so say gravity is just God playing with magnets?

The biggest lie in history...

I'm not saying the whole period lasted 5 million years. I'm saying that some argue that most of the phyla appears during that time frame.

Some, you mean liers, who haven't researched and certainly haven't looked at any new info in the last decade or two.
You might want to expand your reference away from just crap websites and have a look around and read the otherside.
And no yet again most phyla didnt appear in that time frame.

Rather than just call me a liar would you like to share your interpretation then?

Recent fossil records don't change the cambrian explosion fossil records do they?

Any reason you ignored my question?

Can you (this should be easy) give me one factor which could slow down or speed up evolutionary process?

This should be easy for anyone who has attempted to understand this thread and evolution.

I gave you a link, read it. It even has lots and lots of references, for further reading.

And yes new fossils do change stuff, of course they do. They feel in the blanks. Give us better idea of the stages and the time periods etc.

Environmental conditions.

I've read that one already but thanks. The question is around where did all the genetic information come from to make this happen? Even if there was a rapid rise in mutation rate was the period long enough to allow for the huge scale changes that the fossils would suggest?

Edit: so do these 'new' fossils fill in any of the blanks pre-cambrian?

Being a full on atheist this thread doesnt half make me angry.

So maybe some alien has come along and altered the planets shizzle, big deal they around now ? NO.

Screw them, and screw who left us here. (if they ever did, and doubtfull)

Or maybe it is the David Icke, lizard men......

Personally i would take people of all religions send them off to America, then proceed to NUKE it from outer space. or maybe Nerve gas.

You obviously haven't read it, have you.

Change has been seen several times, usually after some sort of devastation. The period is in 10s of millions of years, so yes there's a big enough change. Unlike some theists say, it wasn't the start of multi celled organisms and wasnt all the way though to animals and certainly not in just 5million years.

Ok, let's say it was 20 million years as you suggested. Is this period of time enough to explain the rapid rise of all these completely new animal types with differing body architectures with no ancestral trace? Where does all the required DNA come from to build these new structures? Is all the information required supplied by DNA or is there some other means for providing instructions on how new cells, tissues, organs, body architectures develop?

So what you now know today is just a theory till the next lot of evidence comes along.
Everything will just be a theory unless you go back in time and find out the truth.

Yes. Still doesn't explain why I need faith, or belief.
