Any religious people watch the Wonders of Life last night?

The key to knowing things about the world is to investigate, you can only get so far.
I agree with this statement but with regards to mutations creating new information one could say well yes but doesn't that depend on what is "new" and "information"?, i personally doubt evolution can account for all life on this earth. A lot of the time i come across statements such as "give us several million years and we'll show you evolution", that's fine evolutionists can have several hundred million years and imho that comes down to faith based assumptions and this places evolution outside of real science, the scientific method of observation. Each to their own i suppose.

Utter gosh. Evolution is based on evidence, particularly from the fossil record. I will mention dinosaurs and feathers but I'll be called a heretic no doubt.

???

Answer the question I asked, don't ignore me by quoting stuff from 2 pages ago.

There's no point in this thread. It's funny how the most of the people who doubt evolution have a poor understanding of it's mechanisms, genetics, biology in general and offer no alternative method.

Mutations are useless from the get go because they are deleterious.

Ho so?

You've not explained it or said anything here to support that view. Simply saying it doesn't make it true. Yet in actuality it's the main driving force in nature, tiny changes over millennia (or much shorter) that are advantageous.

Research is now being done into whether, previous generations actively modify DNA switches and pass it on to future generations. It may well prove another major driver in the evolutionary process.

This guy is quite irritating and flippant, however what he is briefly explaining is quite interesting.

You've said several times that you believe in the scientific method and that you feel that observations don't support the theory of evolution. While myself and many others disagree with that your entitled to that opinion.
However when pressed on why creationism is a better theory you never seem to post any scientific evidence supporting it, only stuff that you think weakens evolution. Is there any particular reason why you do this?

Scientists have determined that the universe was created by 'GOOOOOOOOO-D'

Sometimes I feel like...this clip is more factual than not.

Why havent you posted that video in here olivier?

Its the best examination/explanation of a cell I've ever seen. Some of the terminology the way they explain it is sort of dodgy, as if it has some purpose, but its hard to explain without using certain words. It really highlights and explains the random purpose of the cell.

Once you look at it and understand it I dont see how anyone can believe god had a hand in it. Cells are basically machines, with random factories forming shapes from the dna that turn out to be useful, that are flung out randomnly until they end up in a place that is useful. Its incredible, I can understand why people sort of turn away from it, its scary.

I preferred to let the thread die its natural death. And then, another WOL episode comes in... :)

As often, the dislikes of evolution are just that. Some people just cannot consider the possibility, without even looking at its merits and strengths. One of the most far-reaching scientific theory we know, and imo one of the most beautiful.

And then you have the origins of life, complexity emerging from simplicity, life from chemistry. If you want to be 'open minded', that's a good place to start.

Just wow........... just........................... wow

I'm seriously worried for the human race if they can come up with such rubbish :/

Can't believe this thread is still going and has even been half-necro'd.

Surprised it didn't get locked due to Jason2's trolling and then all the religion bashing posts followed by the angry religious people posts.
