Anybody been struck down with the infamous Norovirus??

Awful night tossing and turning and evacuating most of the night but feel better now thank god. That was nasty! Glad it's not lasted long, not 100% but definitely better than last night.

touch wood never had it but i know a few who have.

I have had food poisoning twice (Salmonella and Campylobacter) and was essentially fine with both (I got myself a nice routine of 40 mins watching TV then 20 mins on the loo with a book, no sickness with either, just bad stomach cramps which i can live with)

but Norovirus i really do not want.

We had genetic testing done for 20 traits at work for fun one of them highlighted that i have a natural strong immunity for Norovirus so hopefully i never get to experience it.

It's awful. Even though the diarrhea has gone and I feel bit better I feel extremely exhausted and fatigued. Still in bed and not got the energy to move.

Edit: spoke to soon, just been on the toilet again, ffs

Had it a couple of times. The worst part is rushing off to the toilet but not knowing which end to empty first, and inevitably you end up head down in a toilet to which you have just spray painted.

put a sick bucket by the loo! the last thing you want is to be worrying about a double exit whilst straining to be sick or emptying your bowels

Its nasty :( If there's any consolation to be had you will be more resistant next time it comes round.

Any idea where you got it from ? For us it ripped through the primary school a few times over the years my kids were there. One time they just shut the whole school for 3 days for a deep clean and to stop idiot parents sending their kids in who hadn't fully recovered.
