anyone do their food shopping online?

It's arrived

Quite happy with it, nice to see random sizes and a bit of mud. But proof will be in the tasting.

Bangers, mash and runner beans tonight.
And beetroots are going to go into a oxtail and beetroot stew.

I've just moved to London, and the nearest supermarket (Morrisons) is a 30 minute round-trip walking. Compared to a 10 minute round trip back at uni, this is probably something that will tip me over to getting my stuff delivered, especially since I can choose when it arrives.

Well my first meat box arrived.
I'm impressed with the weights. The two briskets for example are meant to be 1kilo each, the two combined are over 2.5kilos and same for everything, pretty much minimum 10% over advertised. Looks good, but as usual proof is in the taste.

Between this and the veg boxing I'm actually saving money. Why you ask? As I don't need to visit the superstores very often and as such don't buy lots of random rubbish.

Unfortunately the leg of mutton was sold out, so I got a silverside joint instead.
Anyway steak to night with new potatoes and corn on the cob.

had my first experience with online shopping today, been a bad month at work so we had a tight budget of £100 for the 3 of us for a month so it was a massive budget cut (car tax due, holiday to pay for and no overtime are a bad combination)

anyway first off i booked it for 11-1 so i could watch the match, they were late only bu 20 mins but still caused me to miss the penalty, when he turned up i went out to the van to give him a hand to find out everything in his van had collapsed and he was picking a lot of our food up off the van floor,

then to top it off we ended up with a total of 20 items missing, not that were out of stock just missing... called asda and they were ok with it issued a refund for the missing items and managed to get delivery charge back, we will do it again but not with asda.

lets just say its not my best experience, only other experience of delivered food was a christmas hamper last year and that was excellent both in quality and cost - delivered chistmas eve ready for cooking.
