Anyone else here throw controllers?

Also broke the San Andreas disk doing the last mission before Christmas. Still haven't completed that mission as of yet. Borrowed another copy from someone at work.

Yup, a shot at adults unstable enough to start throwing things and getting enraged over a video game.

Not exactly a cheap shot though, they need to sort themselves out.

Oh get over yourself you pompous so and so:rolleyes:. In case you havent noticed people take their fustrations out in different ways...well done if you dont get angry or fustrated at a game but some people do and take it out in different ways. For instance i do get angry when i lose or cant finish off a game, thats my way of coping with it and im not about to change because some pompous forum member feels it right to have a pop at them...i do apologise for my competitiveness oh mighty one...sadly we cant all be as calm and collective as you.

Who the hell are you to tell people that they need to sort themselves out??.

How do you deal with other serious frustrations in life if a meaningless video game reduces you to throwing things and going into a fit rage.

That's not a stable or healthy physche, it's pathetic.

I have many a time lol, i remember smashing my Nintendo NES to bits once when I was a kit, and then being even more mad when it wouldn't work lol!

I get frustrated with games when I have to keep redoing parts over and over again. I've thrown controllers but never broken them but they do rattle :p. I've also ejected many disks and thrown them against the wall, resulting it two shattering .

I don't throw controllers. However I used to rage at my desk over vent when playing CS years ago.

Haven't been like that for years, yet today after a really bad day, for the first time in years I got really stressed out and angry and acted like a child on FIFA in the new league. I kind of don't even want to turn the 360 on again after it made me feel 100x worse than I felt before turning it on.

Christ some people in this thread are up themselves. Showing some emotion when playing games does not make you five years old, have you never shouted in frustration when your football team has gone behind? that doesn't make you five either.

i smashed my fist on my lovely g15 earlier today :( during a game of counter strike..

(yes, not console related, but still..)

Broke my old bedroom door playing SF2 on the 360. Pad bust open. On my third 360 pad now. all the others have the plastic bit at the bottom damaged. Generally throw my pad at the sofa if i get annoyed these days cos I have to replace them.

Do you get angry and make a tit of yourself infront of collegues or loved ones, when the serious frustrations of life get to you ?

I don't, i'm about the calmest person you are ever likely to meet in normal situations as i don't let any of the normal stresses of life phase me, i controll my frustration and release it in environments where it does nobody at all any harm, chucking my controller around when playing computer games only harms my wallet and nothing else.

I controll my anger in all normal situations and it never comes out because i allow myself certain releases, the only place i allow my anger out in public is at Ashton Gate when i'm watching the football. If something has irritated me during the day i'll go home and bang on some loud music or play computer games, and let it out.

The only people who ever see me angry are my housemate/ best mate, and my loved ones whom i never take my anger out on, they may see me throw a controller across the room but it's better than having an eppy at them because i'm in a bad mood.

We all get angry and the stresses of life get the better of us, but i have ways to release the annoyance in controlled environments where it does nobody any harm.

So i'd prefer it if you'd take your sanctamonious attitude and jog on thanks.

If you don't think you have a problem because you end up being reduced to throwing things and being induced into a fit of rage over a video game, then there's no helping you.

If you had a stable mental state, you wouldn't have to throw things around and break them to release your anger, you would deal with it like a normal person.
