I think I would be a Kellogs fanboy, but I do like Weetabix...![]()
Pionner Pionner Pionner
Pie on her? Her what?
That is my contribution to this thread.
Can i declare myself a Cheerios fanboy also.
It was that catchy advert that won me over![]()
OP sounds like an ATI fanboy tbh![]()
I find it difficult to understand why anyone cares about stuff like product renaming, or how much each company is making, I mean seriously unless you’re a shareholder why the hell do you care? Makes no sense. I let the fanboys and care bears worry about that crap, it's all about the products for me, I dont care what there called, only how they perform.
Imo anyone who lets any of this corporate marketing crap effect what products they buy are imbeciles of the highest order.
My thoughts exactly.![]()

11, or even GDDR2/3/5. Caveat Emptor, as always, but if Gamerteen's Dad brings home the card that meets his budget without doublechecking if it's compatible with the newest features, he might just decide after several poor-performing games (@$60ea) that he should quit buying damn PC crap and use a console for gaming - after all, thats what they are for; and get a cheap OEM desktop or laptop for doing the bills on once a week.
While the new numbering scheme indicates relative performance in the range, it doesn't help to see the difference between the ranges - and this is a problem for both ATi and nVidia - where you have last gen's mid-range and want to spend the same again on this gen.... will you get the same card as before but rebadged and some 'new features' but no difference in game performance? Or will you get a whole new gaming experience? Will the marketing tell you? The best buy dude?
I don't see people caring about how much each company is making when they decide about buying a product, they care about how much they are paying. So i don't see the relevance of your comment.
It was an example and ATI fanboys have loved bringing up how much more ATI make per card like i'm ment to care, simalar to bashing of nvidia for lacking DX10.1... LOL, yes because dx10.1 support is so importent right now, nvidia users are missing out on so much.![]()

This is not just about product re-naming.
EDIT: I'm noticing allot of users here are on my ignore list, so If I don't reply you know why.
