Anyone from Milton Keynes

The closest property I have to the station is in Oxley Park, come out of the estate and cross 2 roundabouts and your right at the station, another 2 intersections and you're pretty much at the shopping centre.

Oxley Park itself is a mish-mash of home types - eco homes, posh large homes, cheap townhouses, and social housing flats. It is all very cramped. This is the same for pretty much all new build estates.

This time last year I was seeing houses in MK to move permanently there with my family, but work changes put a halt to that.

The area we had settled on was Great Holm - great schools, walkable to the centre and the train station, decent sized houses - quite expensive. This is where I would recommend, but you will have to have the money ready to go because as soon as the places there become available they get flooded with offers as it is highly sought after.

Just to add here, Oxley Park is a drive to the station, not a walk. Though only a few roundabouts, i guess its c3 miles

As above, Great Holm is great (its where i grew up till about 13 - then i moved to Furzton)
Its next door to Loughton, so not too far from the station.

Though as said, its in the catchment area for one of the best middle schools in the country and has a lake on the estate, so houses go like hot potatoes :)

If you want to escape the MK price bubble then look to buy in Bletchley near the train station, then its just a 5 min train to MK and on to Euston.

I liked Bletchley, reminded me of Coventry - felt like a real place under all the fake-glamour of MK.

Lived in Oxley Park for 7 years in the Eco houses, a pretty decent estate with a wide variety of houses and a decent selection of local schools.

Moved to Fenny Stratford (Bletchley) in 2014, it's great all-rounder. I can walk to town, station, Ikea, super markets within 15 minutes. There is a large development of new builds but they very early development. There are other new builds dotted about ok Bletchley.

Have a look at Newton Leys, some new houses are still available.

If moving out of London then I'd say definitely see if you can work locally. I've done a lot of research into multiple possibilities and have come to the conclusion that the best option (for me at least) is to avoid the commute.

I've worked in MK before and there are plenty of tech firms around there and the surrounding area if that's your thing.

I am looking for part work now in data science, nothing heavy. The long term plan to move to Spain.
