Anyone get scared playing games?

Not by games per say, usually get spooked by someone else coming into the room while ive got my headphones on in the pitch black(trying to scare myself), FEAR was probably the only one i got a freaky get me out of here feeling from.

Games with the "omg something jumped out of a cupboard, oogy boogy boogy!". Not really.

The games that have you constantly walking around in fear of that happening without it really happening all that often is where it's at.

I didn't use to so much but now I get scared of everything. Not so much dark games but just stuff jumping out :(

Didn't even make it past the first lvl on Siren Blood Curse. There is a guy that runs after you and you have to hide and stuff. Ugh...

the scariest part of gaming is looking at my steam account/store transactions page! :o

then it gets worse when i hit the 'see all' button!

The first two hours in Doom3 due to the hype and my mind playing tricks on me. I did actually turn it off for a while as it became too much.

Games that still make me jump, nervous etc are Stalker (all of them), Morrowind a touch in places, Condemned (mainly the first), HL2 - Ravenholm, System Shock 2, FEAR, and to a lesser extent FEAR 2. There are probably a few others that like Fear 2, provide an occasional slightly chilling atmosphere, at the most.

Nope, seems I was wrong. I keep thinking of more titles, Resident evil 3 / 4, Silent Hill 2 and the little bits of 3 that I played briefly.

Sneaky/clever A.I. scares me; Crysis 2 is alledgedly ;) has amazing A.I. which should provide plenty of genuinely ****ing yourself situations.

FEAR2, played in 3D on my VT20, (best 3d game ever its jaw dropping) and the little girl came out the screen at me so unpredictable, my heart was pounding hard, took me a minute or two to regain focu that it was a game. :D

I found FEAR 2 a bit dodgy in 3d. The aiming reticule was at surface depth which put me off... it made me feel kinda sick as well which I could fix by changing the 3d settings in other games but not that one.

Anyways, Penumbra, Amnesia and Minecraft scare me. You might lol at minecraft but there's something about the monsters that scares the bujesus out of me :D

Tomb Raider 4 used to scare me when I was younger and Anniversary still can. I don't know what it is with the Tomb Raider games... they're really immersive and atmospheric in a way no other games are. Resi 3 deserves a mention as well (when the Nemesis breaks through the wall of the police station a little bit of poop came out). The FEAR games didn't scare me in the slightest.

I dont get scared but I get a bit uneasy playing resident evil games, its the music that does it, its just unsettling.

YES. That was the first ever scary thing I found in a game. Hated jumpy stuff after that :(

Forgot to add earlier the Silent hill games as well. I love the music :) Also used to have a game that you had to hide from people if they came near you. And if you hid in the same place twice they would find you. Wasn't so scary in other parts but the hiding bit always had my heart racing!

Yeah the music definitely creates most of the tension, the desolate deserted city in 3 also helped

The Penumbra games (and Amnesia) are exactly like this. No weapons or way of fighting back, you just have to hide and hope you don't get seen

Yeah, I'm scared of what there doing to me, turning me into a psycho(supposedly).

No but I know what you mean, I always get scared of games with heights. I dont think I have vertigo anymore than anyone else, but its just platform games, with long falls, I hate them(except for when there good games).

I do, I cant play scary games.

I recently jumped out of my seat when playing morrowind and had a scamp come up behind me out of absolutely nowhere.

I'm to jumpy to play those kinds of games with scary stuff creeping up on you :(

I have vertigo and after watching the Portal 2 trailer I really needed to get some water to take my meds. I fell over twice on the way to the kitchen :(
