Yep don't expect prices to get anywhere near back to normal this year!
or next year either. Welcome to the new norm.

Either that or the autobots snatched them all.A lot of the alerts seem to be "false positives" these days. You get an alert, you click the link, the website is OOS and there was never any opportunity to buy anything.
Just another nail in the coffin
Yeah don't get me wrong man, I'm counting my blessings as is.At least you have a 3070 mate, could be much worse.
Why is there no sad crying emoji on here! FML...
That CPU is fine for 1440p and above so no need to spend more although if gaming at 1080p it would struggle quite a bit. Just need a faster GPU to up the eye candyFeeling you. Ryzen 3600 and rx 460 here.
I mostly play old games/mods etc, but right now Stalker Anomaly gives me 100% vs 6% usage XD
I was so close to upgrading in October, but thought i'd wait for RDNA2. Hah, good call there.
Unfortunately the prices have already gone up, only way to get something at a reasonable price (before pandemic prices) now is getting lucky with an FE card.I've been trying to come up with an upgrade for my wife's GPU for about 8 months now, in an ideal world I would upgrade to a 3070ti when it comes and she would have mine but there just isn't any chance of either of those things happening this year, I can't justify the inevitable £300 price hike when something suitable does hit.
Speaking of FE cards, I had a look at nVidia's site. Seeing the original MSRPs of cards makes me feel a little ill knowing what retailers and private sellers are scalping them for right now.Unfortunately the prices have already gone up, only way to get something at a reasonable price (before pandemic prices) now is getting lucky with an FE card.

Retailers getting shafted by distributors wanting to move crap no-one buys wasn't something I'd even considered.
I've been really lucky it seems and should really count my blessings, I was jammy enough to get a 3080 on release day and was just able to get a 3070 FE on the last drop for a project I'm not sure if I'm going ahead with now. Though I was hitting refresh like a madman. You can get them it seems but you've gotta go like a madman possessed!
I have recently purchased a Series X, having given up trying to get a GPU, which was the final component I needed for my shiny new build. It's a really good unit and of course Gamepass is amazing value. £449 for that seemed sensible when the cost of GPU's as the current levels. My heart will always be with my PC, but for now if I want to game at good fidelity and frame rates I have had to prostitute myself to the dark said and become a filthy peasant console gamer. Be under no illusion, I will return to the PC Master race when I can.
Your F5-fu must be way more powerful than mine... there comes a point when you've just put too many hours into finding something that feels like it just isn't there. If I'd worked those wasted hours I could probably have paid scalper prices (not that I ever would).
I've started thinking about a 'cheap' 2060 (£670) or 3060 (£1k) gaming laptop to tide me over... and then sell it on Fleabay if / when the desktop GPU market sorts itself out.
