Almost

Weather caused the shortages.
Shortages of supply yes but not shortages at the shops because like i suggested when there were disruptions in supply in the past the shops would just switch supplier and get stock from that new supplier in a matter of days, if not hours.

e: All this conjures up images and people saying that we'd be a nimble small boat on the oceans of free trade instead of being tied to the slowly sinking EU and while that maybe true it also means we're uniquely exposed to any disruptions and far less able to just weather any storms.

“Wahwahwah…. I didn’t make a poor decision, it can’t be true. I am NOT an idiot. Waaaaahhh WAHWAHWAH”

I voted remain. And as I have already said the 'brexit caused it' narrative in this case doesn't stand up to even basic scrutiny.

Your lot are not motivated by a desire for things to improve you are a bunch of often disengenious traitors who would rather see it fail.

I'm not sure anyone's said Brexit caused it, a few people have said it's got nothing to do with Brexit but AFAIK most people who've disagreed with that have said something along the lines of Brexit is a contributing factor, that Brexit has made it harder to adapt to such disruptions, and that if it wasn't for Brexit we'd be in a similar situation as the rest of the members of the EU, that is there wouldn't be empty shelves.

Also who is "you lot"?

Most unconvincing I voted remain post so far in nearly 7 years of unconvincing I voted remain posts.
Take a bow.

As I said above I expected this to happen fairly quickly as the purchasing supply chain people did their thing.
Again as I said to me the only part Brexit has played in this is the ability to have reacted faster via continental europe was removed.
Its still the most likely way we would resolve the situation but its just not possible to be as flexible as we were pre 22.

My gut feels is you will still see some shortages but they will become increasingly localise and sporadic for the next month.
