Anyone Tried The £14.99 "New PC" Win 8 Pro Offer ?

Can someone get me a promo code and trust it to me? please!

Bought one for my PC, trying to get another one for my brother's but wont let me get another promo key, maybe its detecting same IP or somthing?

https://www.windowsupgradeoffer.com/en-GB/Registration

I got mine the day after installing win8.
I used the same e-mail address too
Just changed the date and put in jibberish for the rest. And I just did it again!!

Wrong I will openly admit that this is the first version of windows i have purchased .
I wouldnt have purchased it at 325 and had no intention to until I saw this thread.

and looks like other people are in the same boat

So you are telling me that if I posted a link that allowed you to download an OEM version with a key that will work for £0 you wouldn't click on that instead?
Of course you would and so will the "pirates". Once a thief (don't need you telling me how it "isn't theft" - a rose by any other name.......) always a thief.

They believe the world owes them a living and they will ALWAYS take a free option over one that costs any amount of money.

Personally...

The real £25 upgrade pricing point is AWESOME and I encourage anyone who wants it, to buy it. Maybe they have realised that £100+ per licence is just not practical for home users, especially for those of us with multiple machines.

It's not so black and white, ultimately companies can influence our behavior by adjusting their prices. How much or how many, I couldn't say.

It should be interesting to see what they price the next version at, if it's this kind of pricing again we might actually have some evidence that pricing it low enough does reduce piracy.

Keeps asking my brother for a product key. His pc is prob too old it wont accept his key thats couple year old. No matter even if he puts its early or later purchase date for windows 7 pc. Has microsoft closed a loop? Pity cos i got it and i think its great idea at £14.99 stops dodgy copys.

How are people getting this offer without a legit Windows in the first place?

I still don't understand the above? I've dug out an old copy of XP and paid £25. In this thread people claim to be paying £15 without a real version to start with? I'd like another copy and would happily pay £25, but not the £110. ..

the £15 offer is for new computers but it works for everybody really

Like I say it worked for me no bother. But it wont for my brother on his pc. It asks for a windows 7 key on second screen. I even tried it on my pc again changing dates and what not.. it asks for a key. My brothers key is two years old or thereabouts. What a shame. Maybes MS closed a hole?

tell him to buy OEM its well worth the asking price.

imho win8 is the only OS from MS which i'm more than happy to pay over £100 for.so £109 for OEM which is basically RETAIL to me is excellent buy. actually i will be buying Win8 Pro 64bit OEM when my next PC upgrade is due, that's for sure.

previous OS win7 64bit cracked version on main PC & legit win7 32bit on netbook.
