Anyone Tried The £14.99 "New PC" Win 8 Pro Offer ?

tell him to buy OEM its well worth the asking price.

imho win8 is the only OS from MS which i'm more than happy to pay over £100 for.so £109 for OEM which is basically RETAIL to me is excellent buy. actually i will be buying Win8 Pro 64bit OEM when my next PC upgrade is due, that's for sure.

previous OS win7 64bit cracked version on main PC & legit win7 32bit on netbook.
if u already bought win8 upgrade u can transfer the license still.

So are the £15 and £25 offers "upgrades"? ie do you need to have Win 7 installed in order to run the upgrade?

Or can you get an iso to install windows 8 on a fresh drive?

I'm just about to install a new hard drive on a mates laptop. It's a vista machine with a dead HHD. I've got no vista discs but have the serial.

Well, I've paid the £25 and I'm going for it. On an OEM serial though...

Though so far it's not asked me for the old serial, but has given me a Win8 serial and an iso...

So Ive tried this again with a brand new pc with Windows 7 Professional on and it wont accept the serial.

Despite the website saying "a new PC purchased during the promotional period with a valid Windows 7 OEM Certificate of Authenticity and product key for, and preinstalled with:" of which the pc im trying it for is... it WONT work..

I guess its not OEM compatible despite the pc being "new" but its not...

or do i have it wrong?

u need a oen key
Well yes, but it already has an OEM key (as it came with W7 pre-installed!) which it wont accept! I dont get it.

Well, after doing my mates... I'm sat here on my own.

Dual screen really suits it. Desktop to the left, metro to the right. Windows+C is where it's at. And Start8. Worth the £25 "upgrade" (clean install).

The £14.99 offer worked for me on a very old copy of vista. I used the Win7 key off of my work laptop for registration (my work uses a corperate licesne rather than the sticker key so it had never been used). Dowloaded, installed over my existing Vista 64 build and activated fine.

It seems that MS does not tie the Win8 key to a specific Win7, Vista or XP key so once downloaded you can use it on anything.

Hypothetically speaking, If I were to buy the proper £24.99 upgrade of Win8, would I be able to use this work PC key scam? My work pc is XP64 and has it's key sticker on it, and I am pretty sure we run corporate licenses for everything as well. I also have legit XP64, Vista64 keys I can use if need be, but if this can save me using one them that would be cool.

if u buy the £24.99 upgrade of Win8 it won't ask for a key

Basically guys?

I buy this, download the .ISO file to a disc, do a clean install, and enter the key microsoft have given me? No need to put in my old Win7 key?

Cheers!

EDIT: NVM guys :)
