Anyone Using an Asus DSL-AC68U

Strange...
Seems like my fibre speeds are back to normal now so it must have been the work at the local cabinet over the past three weeks affecting, I guess that they were installing G.Fast Ultrafast, if not what could it be?

hmm.. I got an alert in the admin panel to upgrade.. upgraded but version number is the same :s

there is an issue with the live update servers, that is why keep showing new firmware which is not
Will be fix soon

If will unplug usb, update manually, reset

the xdsl driver change (before may not)
less crc errors
dslam will show correct

Before with out reset the unit was the above issues

How ever i have posted an other link on above post so can try with this frimware for the users having issues & the steps for resetting if helps for the crc errors

Nearly 100,000 CRC down errors in a day and a half. Something is seriously wrong somewhere with my connection. The error spikes are that bad that connection drops for 10-15 seconds.

Try this one ... or anyone with high crc errors (perhaps in broadcom exchanges)
It has a small change at the dsl driver so on this part is different than the official _6553

Will Be Good Idea If will RESET after the update
But i think are not included the fixes for the wifi schedule bug & dnla on this firmware

LOL im all for hope and trying to solve issues. Even pointing out previously in this thread when things are not the fault of Asus, but really now as a couple of others had said i think its time just admit defeat.

The device is obviously junk, easily must be the most unreliable VDSL device on the market. No doubt this year they will do an AC2xxx or higher device and people will fall for it and hope all over again :D

Its now the 3rd longest thread in this section of the forum LOL

I really don't understand what is going on here, but I do think the vast majority of people using this device probably have no problems at all and I can't believe my line is a lot better than others.
I am about 130 meters from a Huawei DSLAM cabinet.
I just wanted to show you my dsl log before I get DLM'd back to fastpath (after my messing around with resets last week due to the new firmware not showing up correctly caused me to be interleaved).
Note the CRC errors after more than 5 days ...

Mine is also being sold. No faith in it at all. Looks like crap too.

To provide some balance, I was very trepidatious when I bought this modem/router to replace HH5 a month or so ago. It's been excellent with none of the problems reported here. I started with 1.0.2.4 firmware and have applied 1.0.2.7 today.
I suspect I'd be bitter if I'd been DLMed and crucified bc of this modem, but I haven't so far, so I'm pretty happy. Device seems much more solid that HH5 and wifi reach much better.
I may be a masochist, but I quite like the daily check on CRC errors ;)

The D7000 does look muck cooler though...
