Anyone using Wegovy?

I've got a gp appointment in an hour to ask to be moved from Ozempic to Mounjaro. Lets see if they are receptive to my reasoning. Firstly i was put on Ozempic for diabetes. I lost 2 stone and my blood pressure( I've had high blood pressure since i was 24. Now 58) dropped to near normal levels. My morning blood sugar levels dropped to 4/5 where they were in the 17/18 brackets even though i take Metformin twice daily. I am not on insulin. About a year ago i stopped losing wieght even though i wanted to drop anouther 1.5/2 stone. I have now put a stone back on and noticed my blood pressure and bloods are creeping up again. Second reason is the pharmacies are still having trouble getting the Ozempic and i've had to miss a few doses here and there. There seems to be more supply of Mounjaro as i've read. So i'm thinking Mounjaro might kickstart my weight lose again and help to bring down those levels. I'm also taking something called Dapagliflozine which takes suger directly out of your blood and sends it out through the kidneys but i've had 2 warning notices from the gp surgery about possibly nasty side affects so i'd want to drop that out altogether. I'll report back here if the gp agrees to change the Ozempic

The nasty side effects I had with that and Empagliflozin was a very poorly horrible looking willy.
It became an absolute mess because of all the sugar coming out of it.

Sorry folks :)

Nasty. I've not had any problems so far. We'll the gp has agreed to move me onto Mounjaro from Ozempic. But said I should stay on the dapagliflozin.

That sounds like overkill knowing what Liflozin's do and what Mounjaro does.
Liflozins did bring my HbA1c down to 57 and my daily bloods down but Mounjaro is also doing that.
Keep your eye on those bloods.

So this morning I went to take the first mounjaro jab. Opened the box and no needles. Just the pen.
Rang the pharmacy and was told you don't get the needles like you do with Ozempic. The gp has to prescribe those separately. You can't take it without the needles. Crazy. So now I've got an appointment with the gp pharmacist tomorrow morning to ask them to prescribe the bloody needles as its them that have to change the prescription. You just can't make this crap up.

PITA but both were prescribed at the same for me.
You'll get a box with 100 in.
When I was in Torquay in December I forgot the needle so I went to the Chemist and they pulled a spare out of a bottom drawer.

Gonna be fascinating over the next decade as use of these meds increases

The food and drinks industry is going to lobby HARD. Their addictive foods won't work any more. The possibilities for alcoholics is massive. Equally people with depression too.

Lots will whinge "Just be disciplined and go for a run", but these types are biologically dis-similar to those who fight sugar/alcohol additiction every hour of every day.

Just get the stuff for the right reasons from the right place if you do.

Yeah I read a story from a guy that was an alcoholic and he started taking Mounjaro to help sort his life out. He took it obviously because of weight gain from alcohol abuse but the side effect was that he no longer drank or even wanted alcohol. Was quite an inspiring story to read and shows you the power of these meds when used correctly.

Mounjaro has turned me off alcohol.

Asking for a member of my family who really needs help to lose weight.
This is for those who are not diabetic and paying for it.

1) Who did you contact to be able to buy the drug in the first place?
2) How much do you pay?
3) How much do you save a month on drink and food?
