Anyone using Wegovy?

Moved up to 5Mg on Friday last week.

Last Night i was hit with extreme Vomiting and diarrhea.

I feel the same as when Wegovy put me in Hospital. However, I'm ahead of it i think. Learnt what not to do last time.

I've been using WeGovy since March last year, I'm going to stop after my final 3 injections.
I was around 145kg and now currently 119kg. Also in August and September I had to stop using it for some unrelated other medical issues (colitis) but picked it up again.

It's definitely really, really helpful. I just want to sit around 115kg and will exercise more these days. I've started boxing up again so will be interesting to see what the impact of having the 3 weeks of WeGovy and boxing has to my weight.

Out of interest what dose of Wegovy did you get to before it hit you?

Just wondering out loud if 5mg of MJ contains effectively the same dose of GLP1 compared to your Wegovy dose for example if it was 0.5mg Wegovy I'd guess very roughly that is 5mg of MJ based on the starting dose being 10x that of standalone GLP1 found in Wegovy.

Possibly (probably) complete rubbish but just a thought.

Congrats dude.

My liquid poop has now stopped. Immodium has done its job.

That's a worry, is a 2.5kg loss since this started Saturday night. I've drank my weight in water too. However, not really eaten.

Hopefully that's this side effect gone. And the next injection doesn't start it again. If it does, I'm likely to stop completely. Or take half a dose to take me back to 2.5mg.

oh dear that's concerning
have you tried spacing out the jabs so rather than every 7 days, try 8-10 days?

Into my 5th week of Mounjaro. (1st week at 5mg)

18st9lb to 17st8lb

My need for food is much reduced and I am eating a very small amount. No affect on appetite for alcohol and that’s largely driven by the social aspect of being in the pub with my wife. I could take or leave mostly.

No gastrointestinal side effect. The one thing I have noticed is, as someone who was never previously cold, I definitely feel cold very often, usually hands and feet.

Had blood tests last week so let’s see how it compares

Private buy from bolt pharmacy btw who I can’t fault.

Thought I would add an update.

Been on Mounjaro now for 8 months. Started at 99.8kg.

Currently at 78kg and not far off my target weight, which I have revised down to 72kg and <20% body fat.

Coupled with the gym, I've now got tone and definition in my arms, shoulders and legs. I still have some belly fat left, which I am working hard to get rid of. I actually wore a "vest" t-shirt to the gym last week for the first time with the confidence to do so. For the first time in about 20 years I have some confidence in my appearence.

I got up to 12.5mg doeses - Didn't feel the need to go to 15mg and I am planning to phase out over the next month or two. The pharmacy have started to prevent me ordering more than a month at once too, indicating they feel I am almost done on it.

Now I am planning how to ensure I keep my portion sizes down - I have still enjoyed dirty burgers, some beers etc - Just in FAR LOWER quantities and less frequently.

It's been a pretty amazing drug to use, but it certainly cannot be looked at as a magic elixer - You simply HAVE to also make the appropriate lifestyle changes alongside. I hope that I can make sure I stick to these changes as I come off it.

only just up to 0.5 on Ozempic. As someone with a Gastric Bypass and one of the lucky ones with no appetite ever. This has stopped me even thinking about wanting to eat. It has also had a knock on of how much i eat and that was not much before this either. This was to replace my Victoza thats no longer available. The issue is I'm losing weight now but its muscle and fat. I'm going to try Hydrolized whey protein and several small protein meals over next few weeks to see if it can help. 8kg down so far. Blood sugars not had much affect on unlike victoza but only on the lower dose of 0.5 for a week. Interesting experience so far.

That's funny, yes likewise - never had problems being cold, now I've spent most of the last 6 months trying to find and buy thick socks and slippers.

Don't forget to hydrate either!
When I first started off the thirst sensation was also very diminished so could go the whole day without drinking
I've now made a habit of just drinking a cup every few hours regardless

Great point on that have noticed my hands has been really dry lately and then realised not been drinking a lot either. Going to fill a big bottle up and try make sure to drink daily

I'm standing in front of an all you can eat anything you want breakfast buffet in Fuertaventura and so far had a cheese slice.
It's torture.

I can't comment on your diet but if you're in Fuerte Ventura, rent a car from the hotel and drive to the most remote beach in the world, aka. Playa De Cofete. it's a fantastic day out and as far as I'm concerned one of the few redeeming features of the island.
