Turns out I'd chucked my 3870, but I have an old x1900. Not that fussed on fixing that one up so I've bought a faulty 4870 off of ebay to have a play with instead. If it works then great, if not I can see the aftermarket cooler that comes with it

witch way do i put it in the oven
Brought an old 8800GT with no output to the screen and tried this, did it a little too long and it was extremely hot. Now it works without an issue!
Going to try a 9800GT next thats artifacting and see if that will revive!

10 minutes to the second, I then ask mother do we have a problem with the oven.
To that I got the reply "oh yeah the thermostat is broken"
So there you go people remember to ask if the oven is busted before you start this project!
