On mine I left all settings at default and just dropped the brightness and that gave an excellent picture.

If you want the best image possible calibrate the screen with an x-rite calibrator, it makes a big difference. Out of the box I found my screen a little on the warm side, a slight yellow tint to white and light grays so would have added a little blue to counter this if I did not have the x-rite.

Also note each individual screen will behave slightly differently so using other users settings probably will not benefit you.

Hi mate would you mind sharing your ICC profile from your X-Rite calibration?

EDIT: In fact I might buy myself a Calibrator as I have wanted one for years. (Heads off to eBay) :p

From the posts so far it seems as though as though the firmware revision has changed from .3 to .4, curious what was changed and if that is the current firmware as the latest build date on the forum is .....2014 Week 4.

Try to get get an x-rite unit, I recommend the i1 display pro as they are the best for the money, avoid spyders they are not as accurate.

You can also calibrate your TV with it as well!

Is there a way to stop the monitor from auto switching to a detected input? I hook up my TV box to my second monitor and when I shut down my PC is switches from DVI (dual monitor) to the HDMI input automatically. Is there a way to make it stop and so if I want to watch TV I have to switch the input manually on the monitor controls.

In the OSD, at the extra section you can disable the auto connection.

I got this monitor last week and so far I have been very happy indeed. I have 3 computers that I have connected using a KVM, using VGA so I am limited to 1080p. I plan to get a DVI KVM from Aten, I have tried very successful to use DVI on my two desktop PCs. However my Toshiba laptop is not playing ball.

The Toshiba is connected using a mini docking station which has DVI. No KVM in play. The display driver software can "see" the monitor when it is connected but I can not see any picture. More bizarrely the BIOS screen and initial Windows boot sequence display using DVI. I have also tried a mini display port to DVI adapter with the same result.
It looks like a problem at Windows level ( Win 7 Enterprise 64 bit). Any ideas folks?
TIA

You sure it's a dual link DVI? The cable needs to have all the pins as well.

Yes, I am using the same cable moving between the computers just now. As BIOS / Windows boot screen works I suspect an issue with Windows. I probably will re install windows.

Apart from that, the monitor is wonderful. :)

Can only think Windows must be set to a resolution/refresh rate combination that the AOC can't support.

If you have other screens so you can still view the display properties, have you tried altering the refresh rate or resolution of the AOC?

Are you sure your multi-monitor isn't set to turn off displays not in use? Try selecting 'Extend desktop'

I will have a look at that, you may well have something there as the Intel display manager can see the device.

Getting this morning tomorrow hopefully won't be disappointed

Currently using samsung 20' 2ms 1680x1050 let's see if I can notice a difference :)

I did take photos but I couldn't find the lead for my camera, sounds like it's a bit late now.

However, I moved up from a Dell 2005 FPW (20.1" 1680x1050) which was 9 years old with a 12ms response time and this is so much better

Cool thanks anyway. Can't wait to try it out., think next step is to upgrade the Gpu, 660gtx is going to struggle.
