Hi there

RTX series when it comes to coolers has pretty much just being a rinse and repeat of what we had on Pascal, of course that is not always an issue as many of the 1000 series coolers were and are superb, but what Gigabyte have done with their Aorus brand is really something special, instead of me trying to educate you all I would highly recommend you watch this short video clip from Gigabyte:

Now for me, this is exciting, Aorus have totally re-invented their coolers and they have also re-invented the RGB and lighting effects, of course there will always be people who dislike RGB and the whole LED effects etc. but hey Gigabyte also sell great looking 2000 series cards with all black coolers like the WindForce and Gaming for those of you who don't want all the glitz and jazz inside their PC's.

The great thing about these Aorus cards is they still look super stealth but also totally in your face if you want them to do, but in a real cool and unique way, Aorus have a true USP here.

Then of course you have the 4yr warranty and Gigabyte of course has a UK RMA centre should you wish to RMA directly with themselves instead of using us.

Now to celebrate these great cards, were offering them at some pretty damn tasty PRE-ORDER ONLY prices where on the TI's your saving well over £100, so check them out:

OcUK is one of the very first to order and set these cards up globally, we hope to receive large volumes of stock in 2-4 weeks, so do pre-order in confidence and remember Aorus don't only look absolutely amazing, they are also pretty much the fastest RTX 2000 series cards on the planet and have one of the best warranties and customer aftercare in existence with 4yr warranty.

They say no, as they shall be releasing their own waterblocked versions and hybrid cooled versions in near future, any cooler removal will void warranty on Aorus.

Well that's extremely unfortunate. They won't be getting my money with that attitude.

Some example photos over the different modes, there are many more and you can customise:

Just had another chat with them.
This is what they are telling me, there are warranty void if removed stickers over screws, however you can remove the cooler to fit a waterblock.

BUT

If there is any sign of physical damage to the PCB the warranty will be voided, no questions. So yes you can do it, just don't scrape or mark it.
Gigabyte are putting a note next to the OcUK account so they know any RMA's from OcUK customers with the stickers broken or removed won't void warranty, but warranty will be void if physical damage is present.

So, er, when are these RTX 2080 tis due? @Gibbo

Gigabyte expect stock end of next week, then to ship from Asia to ourselves, probably the following week, but we don't expect many, maybe 10-20pc on the first wave, we've already pre-sold 3 units since posting this up, so to get in on first wave people need to be fast as always.

The 2080 versions should arrive a couple of days sooner! :)

to be fair given a large amount of the premium cost must surely be on the cooler, wouldnt it be better to buy a different card anyway if your plan is to remove it?

Well yes, if such a card was available, but stock very much up in the air at the moment. FE would be my preference, but goodness knows when they will be available. Plus it's not necessarily a bad idea to get a decent AIB card as you'll always retain that bit more in resale value.

Rep mentioned a while ago, it's not officially, I.e they don't put warranty stickers on the screws .
Like everyone else, just don't mess up the mounting and make sure you put the stock cooler back ;)
