***** AORUS DID NOT INVENT THE GRAPHICS CARD, THEY PERFECTED IT! RTX 2000 SERIES!! *****

Always questioned this gimmick of the centre fan spinning the opposite direction for supposed better heat dissipation. If that were the case why wouldn't that be standard on all their triple fan cards?

I just wonder if they have improved their packaging this time around, i had a 1080 xtreme for about a day or 2 and it arrived with bent fins and a wonky centre fan, and an OC mode that instacrashed when used, apparently that was the cause of the delay of them appearing as their packaging was substandard.

I would have to ask @GIGA-Man if the build quality of this card has been improved over the cheap, flimsy construction of the 1080 xtreme and the 1080ti aorus.

I had an xtreme and it was so flimsy and cheap feeling it was pathetic, it looked solid enough but as soon as you picked it up you could virtually see the coca cola logo in the paper thin metal on the shroud. Seen quite a few stories of people getting the xtreme and aorus and having issues with a bent fan bracket, causing clashing fans and other issues with the supplied overclock not working without crashing. The vid shows a nice looking card even with the rgb's in the fan, i just would expect MUCH better build quality compared to the last 2 attempts. This video and ending from Jayz2cents pretty much said it all:

I’m starting to think the gfx card industry is taking the ****

Seen that JayZ video. £600+ cards and still built that cheap. So impressed with the tank weight & toughness of my Zotac 980ti omega I'm tempted to give them another buy on next card

Yup, and gamers nexus has a disassembly video, when he takes the shroud off the heatsink fins have some areas where some fins are bent and buckled.

The high Res pics of this new card seems to show a plastic shroud, at least the black area has a textured look to it so I'm guessing it's plastic. Probably better than the recycled tin they used in other iterations

Just watched that video and frankly, the quality of that Aorus is chronic.

Gigabyte managed to produce metal with the structural integrity of cheese.

I was looking at one of these but not now.

When I think of my old Zotac 780 Ti with a full metal shroud, now that was built like a battle tank!

Also have to mention my MSI Quicksilver, awesome build quality.

If you're going to put out a £1000+ GPUs at least put some multi-million pound investment into developing games/creating new studios that take full advantage of the hardware.

Asking a £1000+ just to play souped up console ports at higher resolution/frame rate is just an act of lunacy.
