***** AORUS DID NOT INVENT THE GRAPHICS CARD, THEY PERFECTED IT! RTX 2000 SERIES!! *****

What can I say holy **** coming from a 970 I’m amazed got the full fan going exellent wee bar to hold the card up. All good here so far was abit if a pain with the pci express connectors up side down but exellent happy so far.

It’s a monster of a card in size and wait . Played abit of doom 4K res came out and was sitting at 60 degrees.

Can somebody confirm if box in which Aorus GPU came has any stickers over openings ?? Thanks

My box did not have any stickers on. However antistatoc bag had this yellows sticker from Gigabyte

bPZ0X0

Mine was the same. Guessing it's normal.

Mines didnt have a sticker on the box but the entistatic bag did ... 2 of these in sli would be intense....

So I finally got a chance to set up my card and get it running. Everything seems to be perfectly fine atm. Played some BF1 to test it out and was hitting 1980mhz stock boost before downclocking and getting temps around 60 with fans set to 100% @ 65.
To be honest it doesn't sound any louder and is not running much hotter than my old 1080ti FTW3. I then ran MSI Afterburner OC scanner and managed to get +165Mhz on the core clock which was surprisingly good. Now I am getting
around 2070Mhz in BF1 and temps are not exceeding 65.

My issue atm is that I am getting similar FPS to the 1080TI with the same settings. So I guess that driver optimisation is still required to unlock the full potential of the card. Currently downloading BFV and 3DMark to do some proper
testing over the weekend.

Mines installed, hits 1940mhz stock. Currently got a +90 core to give 2010mhz boost. I had it at 150 at first but had a BSOD after 40mins thats was boosting to about 2080mhz I think.

Can I turn all the RGB off?

Also what is the little bracket/stand for? Is it just to display on a desk for a photo or something lol

Thanks,
Sean

You need to download the Aorus Engine from Gigabyte and in there you will have LED controls. The little bracket is to go at the end of your card and prop it up a little to prevent the heavy card from sagging.

My clock speed with only the browser open is 300Mhz if i remember i think the 1080ti was 185ish anyone else confirm if 300Mhz is basically the gpus lowest clock speed?

It’s to hold the card in place and not to put a strain on the pci express connecter.

Thanks, just downloaded the software turned LEDs off then uninstalled ( I have no window anyway)

Oh really, where does it attach to then?

Thanks

I just flashed that BIOS while I was at it. Something I have noticed - MPC-BE with MadVR for 2160p remux used to trigger HDR on my TV on its own when set to 'Pass HDR to TV'

This is not happening now for some reason? I tried clicking the HDR windows button but all the colours are washed out, any ideas?

Another silly question, I assume all HDMI are spec'd the same so I can connect to any?

Thanks again,
Sean

My thoughts (non-Xtreme version) are that the fans on these cards aren't that great. They are ok but I suspect some of the top end competition like the Strix and FTW3 will be a fair bit less noisy when the fans spin up. 15,560 Graphics Score in Time Spy seems decent enough though: https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/30339772

I would uninstall the RGB Fusion software when you are done with it btw. Otherwise it seems to randomly popup every so often and kill all the lighting for a few seconds before it comes back on again ..

Yeah thanks, I did do straight away. Yeah defo louder than my MSI G6 Gaming 980ti was but not crazy, its just on auto atm may do a fan curve for it.

Hi i looked at your 3dmark test and i just did one of mine(i have the xtreme) and it seemed slightly worse did you overclock? or have i just got a ****** card? https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/30346545 just kinda been worried about this recently as all would be great if someone could possibly help me thanks :)

Thanks for clearing that up also is it normal for my card to be at like 53 degrees idle and 75 to 85 degrees in game?
Mine idles in low 30's and I can keep it just under 70 when 3D rendering. However I am using a pretty aggressive custom fan curve that I just copied from my previous 1080 settings for now (as I am hammering the card with 100% load for hours rendering). Also it will depend on your case. This is what I have it set to: https://preview.ibb.co/e9UsEf/fans.jpg

I'm using this more for gaming than anything but currentley my case is a Cooler Master Stryker Gaming Case i'd say its a Cool case overall but to be honest i don't remember my 1080ti running this hot (at least all the time)

This is exactly my problem... AND this is with fans easy above 80% which is really loudible ! I am rather dissapointed of this Gpu. Going from Msi gtx 2080 ti Lightning Z which was like literally quiet with 60% and tems 58C this is dissapointment. Dont get me wrong games run much smooter and FPS gain is noticable a lot for me. Only solution I can think about right now is to buy Nzxt g12 bracket with some Aio (x42,x52 or x52) and that would be amazing combo !
