That will be a tight squeeze. Your 8+(?) fans will get a work out - do you plan on modding the compartment subtly i.e. ripping the door off its hinges?

I have no idea haha, hence need for ITX lol

Well can't be much more over £520 z390 got almost same gear ,just not 4.0, o well time will tell :)

Yeah.... It's better designed then it's z390 counterpart

I would like a new Ryzen system but I do not usually need to X570 mobo, the B450 is usually good enough for me. Presently the 3600 is a large improvement for my secondary gaming computer and a B450 should be OK for that but I want the flexibility of upgrade the cpu to a 4th gem 16 core (possibly the 4950X). Do you think that an MSI B450 Carbon pro would be suitable for a stock 16 core Ryzen?

£500 chip on a £100 4 phase board .. and at stock ... Wouldn't spend that money on a CPU not to push it to it's limits .
And with 4950X , have no idea if AMD will increase core count on CCX from 8 to 10 with EUV 7nm+ or drop 14nm IO chiplet to 7nm to squeeze in another 7nm+ chip .

Looking at B450 , least go Aorus or MSI ITX , fielding better MOSFET chips and higher layer PCB .
Also without knowing 16 core reviews in Sept, won't know the power draw etc - though 12 core should give a good example .

Glad I've built with x370 and x470 flagship as they look like they still hold their own against middle tier X570 and resale value half tempting to bump up to x570 .

Wondering how long team green switch to PCIe 4.0 - though only Volta Titan only card that maxes out PCIe 3.0 bandwidth at 16x

@orbitalwalsh, have you heard the words 'semi-passive' bandied around with the x570 fan?

I still expect/hope/pray (****ing better!!!) the fan to be silent for majority of users but also expected it to be passive until needed - certainly has grunt if needed :/ - anyone speak Deutsche?

FF to ~9+ minutes - it has the ability to blow the chipset through the PCB if needed.

@Plec

Semi passive with GPUs are it reaching a certain temp and it kicks in , and guessing same would apply here. Question is , can you manually change that in bios ?

I thought PCIe 4.0 activation via GPU or M.2 running on lanes attached to the Chipset and not CPU would get it going. Specially nvme in raid using PCIe 4.0 standard .

@GIGA-Man able to shed any light on fan activation/profile with your boards ?

And doesn't he above video break NDA ?

That's my take - but every leak is showing fan spinning, even at idle although inaudible (unless deliberately activated for demo).

Again, was hoping/presuming - as i don't install 'suites' as you know.

Yes - fully powered is a no no.

Why couldn't it have been an English speaking ****wad?

Ah, just noticed running 2700x on the X570 Meg. Thought it was 3*** chip . Though surely MSI can't be too happy then I guess no s***s given if they can get away with it and have their board shown off .
3600hz - interesting if this was just plug and play / non Samsung B-Die - on a side note

In theory, nothing is pulling PCIe 4.0 to full bandwidth, but guessing still running PCIe 3.0 on 4.0 controller can get it hot - which means it's a controller design

bundles please ?

any eta on your coolers and NVMe 4.0 ???

seems new m.2's have gone under the radar if they'll be launched with x570 boards ....

Plec. best buy quick then, who knows what hardware your son will end up with haha

NVMe Gen 4 reviews will be live with X570, in regards to the stock and sales it should be the same day, I am chasing to make sure there is stock on sale for that launch day. No extra info on the coolers yet, will update you when I know more.

Thanks @GIGA-Man, appreciated - and have you managed to slip an ITX into your backpack yet?

Yeah, i'm sure they like the web coverage - although in this case not particularly flattering without context.

The rumour mill was implying 3600MHz+ was a doddle just after computex - 8pack has hinted the same (i think - don't quote me).

@Plec his 4000hit will work in the Pro/Ultra/Master i believe - prob save the cash with 3600 version and push tighter timings with Ryzen Ram Calculator using 3733hz

@GIGA-Man - Does that mean some reviewers will have your/a PICe 4.0 NVMe to test as well ...?

if true, nice ! just the copper colouring :(
