Aorus/Gigabyte X570 - Buildzoid Ripple tests with AORUS & ASUS

Is this the new BIOS or your wife's strict new rules to ensure the third kiddie is your last? :p

Haha .

We've just moved my youngest out of her high chair at 2 on a normal chair. Use to be bale to gaming in the mornings whilst they ate breakfast, now I'm on full alert at breakfast time :(

She'd use to happily eat then play with toys in the high chair ... Now she's been unleashed

Well if a stock is to be believed at a competitors website (the one which was being linked to yesterday showing pics etc) then all x570 motherboard stock is very short supply. The most stock they are showing on any one board is 15!!

The most anticipated launch of the year too, I guess they don't want money! :D

Or it's planned 'low supply' price gouging.

Vendors make single figure profits for boards, well up until ryzen. It's resellers that make the most. Distributors are set at selling prices set by vendors most of the time - cant inflate with supply and demand like resellers do until given the go ahead

OC prices not up yet

These on another site:
  • Aorus x570 Pro £265
  • ASRock X570 Taichi £300
  • Aorus x570 Ultra £315
Note sure if anyone is stocking the Pro WiFi. Torn between Taichi and Ultra now, hopefully will be some reviews to look at soon.

So close to ordering, items in basket. Holding out for motherboard reviews while keeping an eye on the stock.

Might just do it, guess can always cancel / change right?

Edit: Done, already got ram, psu, case etc.....
My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,050.47 (includes shipping: £10.50)

So are are we expecting to be delivered on Monday or Tuesday? Waiting for the bank payment to trigger fraud alert now, seems to happen every time I buy a new system.

.... Guess i should finish reading the review now

@Plec so what did you get?
Nothing - only just started reading/watching reviews - watched Nexus - and reading the CPU thread for the LOLS in between. Are you tempted to buy now?

Looking for motherboard reviews (fan and PBO performance) - as CPU hasn't revealed any surprises that weren't hinted/leaked a few days ago.

@orbitalwalsh, called the Gigabyte prices spot on - if I were buying right now i would want the Pro/ULTRA and the 2700X. I'm going to digest reviews and wait - as to how long not sure (as discussed a few weeks ago) - but sorely tempted. A few notable, ol' reliable members have bought early so it will be good to read their thoughts.

*My very recent trip to PetatHome hasn't helped - just spent two thirds of the price of an X570 Ultra on a hamster cage along with general hamster crap for said new cage. The kicker being the Siberian rodents only live 2 years... :/ Where's the value for money in that? (TBH, my kids faces were worth every penny. So, we now have a Tink as a new member of the family - which will rapidly become Stink if they don't keep to their promise and clean it out.)

@robfosters - congrats, pleased you managed to get your preferred spec. Best of luck with the build - look forward to your findings...

You too @Sin_Chase - nice setup for the next 4 years+ - and ditto with your findings - memory?

despite all my caution, i still find myself slightly underwhelmed...if i'm to be totally honest...
i'm 90% sure i'm going to sit out this round of releases. 3770k still going strong and i don't really need to upgrade just yet.
want - yes, need - no. if need ever turns into yes, then i'll dip in...

(gonna see what ddr3 2400mhz ram comes up on MM...lol)
