Aorus/Gigabyte X570 - Buildzoid Ripple tests with AORUS & ASUS

I've already got the behemoth Fractal Design Nano S sitting in its shipping box.
You seriously need a motherboard for all your spangly components - nice case (loop?).

I think @tamzzy's log may break you - it's going to test me.

Also looks like quite a tight fit if you're going with ATX PSU. Or are planning to use SFX PSU?
If he goes that route, he's going full on 'mental-self-harm' - ATX - but he's become numb to the experience from previous 'ship-in-a-bottle' like builds.

ah yeah. rvz03 can only take 2.25 slot gpu...but not a big issue with my 1080ti...but then again, limited if wanting to upgrade in future...

seems Navi AIB are 2.5 slots - seeing from water with AMD, cooler the better

That Sliger SM560 is a fantastic evolution of these sandwich type cases. Too bad they're US based.

has conversion rates been better would have been over this ! looking at £330 to get to UK.. might as well get this for myself and not have to pay for new PSU

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £399.95 (includes shipping: £0.00)

No custom loops for me, too much hassle for my liking. Most likely will slap in an AIO.

Indeed, I do need a motherboard. I wasn't on planning on buying the R7 2700, but a good deal presented it itself and I couldn't say no. I was initially holding out for a deal on a 3rd gen Ryzen.

X570 AORUS ULTRA (rev. 1.0)

Silly question here... do I update my Chipset (3700X) with this AMD download (v1.07.29) or should I use the Gigabyte BIOS update?
The AMD is ~50MB (but there's other updates packaged as well) and the Gigabyte is ~9MB and update version F4h is described as:
  1. Update AGESA 1.0.0.3 ABB
  2. Improve Destiny 2 gaming compatibility
Or which one do I use first?

Not clicked on link - but Chipset and BIOS are two entirely different things.

Thanks, I know... but I wasn't sure if Gigabyte also used the AMD chipset update to update the Chipset as they both include the AGESA & Destiny 2 fixes.
What I was asking is stick to Gigabytes updates... assuming it also includes the AMD update or just use AMD then update the BIOS from Gigabyte which includes AMD stuff for the chipset as well.

Sounds like you're still confusing the BIOS with the chipset.

Are you encountering any issues? The new BIOS update and chipset drivers were only just released in the last couple of days. If you're not having any problems, then it'd probably be a good idea to just wait and see what other people's experiences with these updates are like.
