Yes, that's your decision. To be honest, I wasn't expecting that everything will be working fine when I was buying this laptop. The specs and the size/weight of this laptop seem to be rather unreal, so it would be a real surprise if the laptop would be faultless. Razer Blade was full of issues as well, when it was released few year ago. That's the biggest problem with these extremely thin gaming laptops. It's like with cars, you can buy a Japanese car which is boring and reliable or an Italian car which is a dream to drive but super defective.
Hi narubi,
Thanks for feedback and understanding.
This situation with the V5 model is extrememly disapointing and frustrating for us.
It has happened because the compenent layout on the new motherboard for SKL is different to the previous 2 generations that we have successfully brought to market without any problems like this.
We have talked at length to R&D and our product team, each day, and understand what the problem was, and what the solution is.
We dont beleive that providing "solution" to end users that had already said they intended to open machine and install SSD and RAM, was unreasonable of us - but also understand that the situation wasnt perfect.
Another user who was faced with the same problem simply folowed our guidance, loosend 2 screws at the rear of the chassis, (this cures the problem) as a temporary solution, while he waits for us to send him the correct tape to apply to the unit. We also provided very clear picture and instruction on how to perform this modification.
All units leaving factory now have the correcct gage of tape applied, and in the unlikely event of any failures AORUS commits to exchanging for end user so they receive the perfect machine that they wanted.
We sincerly apologise for the inconveneience we have caused to some customers and have worked hard to rectify all problems to the satisfaction of each customer.
Regards,
