Its a bit of a contradiction though. All of the claims of power and how amazing it is for pro workflows but how many pros are going to be using a macbook air instead of a pro?

That's because the Pros will be for 8k video and better than these computers... BY A LOT!

Seems like it, but it has a fan so i suspect higher clocks

The mini has a fan, so will run faster most likely.

Guess it's clocked much lower on the Air to keep it low power usage and fan-less, but on the Pro it'll be clocked much higher.

I genuinely don't know what I will go for now... the Air or the Pro. The fan-less benefits might win out... do I need the extra performance? I do mainly office type tasks. Let's see.
